I'm going to listen to Your Favorite Weapon in full before going to bed, I haven't done that in a while.

Hope it was worth the wait! So many tunes

Lagwagon - Gun In Your Hand

I was young too I felt just like you
Hated authority, hated all my bosses
Thought they were full of shit
Well it's like they say:
If you're not a rebel at the age of twenty,
You got no heart
But if you haven't turned establishment by thirty,
You got no brains
Because there are no storybook romances
No... fairy tale endings
So before you run out to change the world,
(I just want you to feel the gun in your hand)
Ask yourself:
What do you really want?

These guys are GOAT

That's from the movie, Swimming With Sharks.

Yes Kevin Spacey and it fits perfectly what's your point.

Good movie.  I usually suck at separating artist from the artwork, but Kevin Spacey is such a great actor it's hard not to with him.

You didn't realize it was from the movie, did you? You thought Lagwagon came up with it, huh? That's why you quoted the soundbite from the movie and called Lagwagon the GOAT, right?

How dense are you?  It's literally a guy talking, which sounds like an old '60s businessman/man talking to a 20 something year old monologue, and nothing like a member from Lagwagon, so no, I did not think it was Lagwagon that 'came up with it' rather used the quote for the outro of their song.

I had to re-look up what movie it was from but I've seen the movie and not sure why I'm even explaining this at this point you have issues.

... Apparently not dense enough to give a band credit for the soundbite they used!

I mean bands often pull quotes from movies/speeches and add them to their songs as an artistic stroke, you don't need to disclose that you know that.

They do! It's just not often a fan confuses those soundbites as the work of a band and calls them the "greatest of all time" for it.

Also, Lagwagon is not your band Speedo.  Just because you're old as shit and was a fan of theirs way earlier does not mean newcomers cannot enjoy them much.  Clingy much?

This is an odd conclusion ... I'm pretty indifferent about you liking them, or anyone else for that matter.

Speedo, I wholeheartedly promise that I did not think the extremely obvious soundbite in Gun In Your Hand was from Lagwagon themselves or that they came up with the quote.

May whatever you're dealing with today get better from here.

I dunno Jan, if I was going to post about how a band was the GOAT I sure as hell wouldn’t use a sound bite from a movie that they had no part in writing. I’d use some lyrics or something they actually did come up with.

I’m with Speedo on this one. I think you fucked up.
