Were they? I don't remember them ... I thought it was Taking Back Sunday ... maybe they just weren't at my show.

Yea I don’t remember TBS being on that tour, but I do know they had bands splitting dates. I think in Michigan we got Jimmy Eat World and Saves the Day

Actually nope, it was JEW and Saves the Day splitting opening duties, and we got Saves the Day in Michigan. Which I was bummed about because I didn’t know them but I knew JEW.

Yeah, I was wrong ... TBS was the Untitles tour with Cypress Hill.

also it's silly to even include Neck Deep in this because no way in hell would the majority of this board like them. they're too new and not punk enough for most of the purists here

True. I just feel people completely dismiss new pop punk bands without even listening to them. Yes the vocals are a bit ropey but they have some mega tunes. Saves the Day were pop punk for about 5 minutes

It's crazy no one likes Title Fight or Joyce Manor here. Title Fight's first album was basically a modern version of Dude Ranch, and Joyce Manor is the best pop punk band out there, with short songs and the coolest riffs and hooks.

I really enjoy Joyce Manor, I just don't think they're pop punk ... also, their last album was kind if a snoozefest.

I like both especially Joyce manor but they just aren’t top in my list. I could list a million bands I like but was trying to narrow down.

I know what you mean, I was just talking about "newer" bands because Scott said that they're not talked about enough. I love Joyce Manor, they are very very tight live and you can tell they are inspired by all the bands we like. (I agree with the snoozefest album @Slevin Seconds).

Title Fight is little different band and you can't really call them pop punk, but they were interesting and I liked how they evolved with their first 3 albums. But yeah, both Joyce Manor and TF aren't influential and they can't compete with older bands.

I don't necessarily hate all newer punk bands, though, just the ones that sound like snotty children. I really like Direct Hit! because it's fast paced and fun but has some really interesting themes and ideas going on.

blink inspired a ton of shit bands, they're why we have Panic at the Disco.

Their first album is great though right? Agree that everything since had been a steaming sack of shit

nahh, i don't enjoy their first album, hahaha. I Write Sins Not Tragedies is a fantastic song and But It's Better If You Do is great too, but the rest blows imo. too unfocused for me personally and the melodies don't make up for the ridiculous lyrics.

I like the ridiculous sexual one. The LET'S GET THESE TEEN HEARTS BEATING FASTER, FASTER because its so fucking silly.

And 'the only difference between...' was pretty fun. Don't remember the rest.

Okay...I'm backing this. Gives me an American Pie vibe, they're playing a house party...I can get onboard with this. Saves The fucken Day it is!

I'd never heard Saves The Day before, barely heard Neck Deep either but heard of them so I did a YouTube search on both. I listened (scammed) through the two top songs from Neck Deep and I can't stand his voice.

The first song from Saves The Day was Shoulder To The Wheel and that was awesome, even made it to my playlist. It reminds me of another band but I can't put my finger on it and it drives me crazy.

I'll be voting Saves The Day.

This thread is a message board success story!

love Panic!. Brendon is one of the most talented vocalists and frontman in the buiz.

Their latest album wasn't their best, but I love everything up to it. I would recommend To weird to live, too rare to die to anyone no matter what genre they usually listen to, top notch!
