Kay
So I'm asking because I can't actually decide and I'm curious how others feel. I quite liked Dream Walker a lot. as an album it feels more consistent and cohesive, the songs work together well and as an album there's not a lot of total 'duds', but the collection of songs themselves aren't exactly amazing. On the flipside, Lifeforms has a lot of bad songs, some definite skips / "I'll never play this again" type songs, but it also has quite a few that I like more than any individual song on Dream Walker. So it doesn't deliver for me as a 'record', but a lot of the songs on it I'm happy to keep and respin unlike a lot of Dream Walker. as a result, they're kind of tied for me., or at least I'm constantly changing my mind As someone who doesn't like literally any other AVA album, their last two records (and their EPs) have been an interesting experience for me. What do others think?
Speedo
I skipped all of Dream Walker but only skipped most of Lifeforms.
twentytwenty
Lifeforms is stronger as a whole with less instant skip tracks - kiss with a spell and the Wolfpack, I'm looking at you! But both albums is strong imo, but neither can give either of the love albums a fight. The Disease on dream walker is a top ten AVA song for me
JarJarBlinks
Dream Walker-2 Rubins down Lifeforms-1.85 Rubins down

My skippables are tremors and paralysed.
Ghent
Both have one good song. Lifeforms has a couple passable ones, whereas Dreamwalker doesn't. So I guess Lifeforms.
Russel Coight
I got bored of lifeforms after a week outside of a couple of songs. Dream Walker took a month for the same so I’d say I liked that better.
twentytwenty
I love lifeforms, as I stated earlier it’s not love but it’s a damn fine album. I’m completely loving the chorus in timebomb as well

But damn what an anticlimactic comeback single that was though. Imagine seeing it from my point of view: an Ava fan that love all they’ve previously had done, coming from what I think is their best album to date, and then, finally after a bunch of years anticipation they release fucking paralyzed ? Ive always viewed kiss with a spell as a worse breath ?
Kay
Yeah Paralysed was a fucking terrible choice haha
Nosferatu
Lifeforms has grown on me a lot. Even Spellbound which I originally hated has grown on me.

That was my first favorite on the album, mostly because of the chorus and Tom’s vocal delivery
Kay
Spellbound is one of my faves.
b00bies
7 years is a lot of a gap between the albums to judge. musical scene has changed a lot and dreamwalker was a great shot at the time. but i'll go with a modern ava sound. lifeforms feels more natural.
Cheerios4u98
hard to say at this point. I don't love either album. But I do love Kiss & Tell and Losing My Mind more than anything on The Dream Walker. So... maybe Lifeforms? Really not sure yet, I'll have to let Lifeforms sit with me a bit more.
Flyswatter96
To me dream walker is a more cohesive listen altogether. But Spellbound alone made it hard to pick because I’m a sucker for 80s synth pop. I ended up voting for Dream walker though
NerdWallet
Lifeforms
Monkey Chips
Can't believe I never answered this, but I like Lifeforms more... Had more fun with the Lifeform songs than I did with Dreamwalker like I actually recall stuff on this album like Rebel Girl, Kiss & Tell, and my favorite Losing My Mind.
