scoobs Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Deathcab is pretty close to emo, like really close. I’ll allow it, especially this album. ‘We Looked Like Giants’, ‘Title and Registration’ & ‘The New Year’ are the better songs to me, but I’ll go with the title track here.

They just seem like the definition of indie rock to me but they did come around right when emo did and do remember them fitting in with the emo scene quite a bit. That 'vocal style' kind of was a branch off lighter version of the genre. Genre genre genre!
