The tone or whatever is that classic Tom sound, that's what gets me going. But yeah, it's just 4 chords lol.

Although the clip sounds good, even for Tom it sounds very generic

Sure he does play power chords on acoustic, but he's always alternated between power chords, octave chords and lead guitar riffs

It's nowhere near as creative as What Went Wrong, I Miss You, All of This, Boxing Day, There Is and Letters to God

Hopefully it's just because of it being a 15 second clip and that the whole song has more going on like previous acoustic songs he's written

not to beat a dead horse but if they had done a few interviews, talked about the album etc when this clip dropped my head would have been spinning trying to figure it out. 

It's nice that you can tell it's Tom playing guitar, it's got the right sound but it's so short it could be anything.  It feels like it's getting randomly puked out of the sky and just tossed out at random.
