I mean you have to think logically. When this kinda fun punk band you like comes out with a super polished commercial sounding album, it's bound to make some people scratch their head. Same with untitled. Not saying either are bad, they're just a bit different from their predecessors.

not to beat a dead horse but if they had done a few interviews, talked about the album etc when this clip dropped my head would have been spinning trying to figure it out.

It's nice that you can tell it's Tom playing guitar, it's got the right sound but it's so short it could be anything.  It feels like it's getting randomly puked out of the sky and just tossed out at random.

This one is bait right?

The label is watching discord and missing out on the real deal: the blink182online Led Zeppelin era, 2003 music piracy, Jan ranking the albums one last time as a self soothing exercise before the new song comes out.

Who from the label is even watching the discord? Some unpaid interns?

I really don't remember how early it leaked on here, was definitely way before the release because by the time I got the album I had already heard it a million times.

I had listened to Feeling This so many times I just assumed the entire album would be exactly like that. In reality that was the only song on the entire album that linked to TOYPAJ in any way

It was only a week, and the actual leak we got was through the official MTV The Leak.  I remember those days on these boards like it were yesterday myself.  And even though I had already listened to it nonstop that week, I still went and bought the album the day it came out right after school, with the smallest of hopes that maybe I got the gold ticket lol, and to see all the music videos included on the enhanced CD.

However, Feeling This was officially released long before with the initial version being called Action popping up on Madden '04 first.  A wonderful live recording of Go from BBC Radio would later pop up to give us a good idea of what other songs would sound like.  A slightly earlier version of Violence was released as a b-side to the Feeling This single.  And we had the worst live recording of Obvious from a show ahead of the album's release to try and get an idea of what that was; terrible quality aside, I still listened to the shit out of that lol.  Finally we had Hope, which I think we all knew wouldn't be on the album as it was a cover, but it was still a cool song to have, also from the same live session of Go if I recall correctly.  But I believe that's all we had until the MTV Leak release (which happened to be the edited version, so I remember when the album was released, being baffled by the 'Fuck' before 'I can't let this kill me' lines, as I really had no idea another word was in there on the edited version).

Of course on top of that we had all the Cheetah vids, the livestream vids (surprisingly ahead of their time with that shit), and then 3 days after release, the Album Launch special.  Man you don't get this kind of hype behind blink albums prior to release anymore at all.

Good fucking times lol.

Don’t songs tend to release Tuesday or Friday?

Tuesday and Wednesday are most common. Friday release (though really Thursday for us) if they’re just releasing a song and no marketing or announcements behind it, but that won’t be the case here. Like this first song that’s the main single I will expect the announcements around it and then the second song would be a Friday song that’s just an additional song to promote the album.

Good memory, I remember burning a cd of the prerelease versions and the BBC live lounge stuff and listening to it on repeat. Was probably the most excited I was for any album ever

Someone on Reddit speculated this song is a finished version of the intro song of this cheetah vid

God I do hope so, I always enjoyed that little tune. But I always assumed that was something that later evolved into Not Now.

That song seems like much faster of a tempo. I think that person is making a bit of a reach

Just got a text linking to their site and the bathroom stall

It's nice that you can tell it's Tom texting you, it's got the right spelling but it's so short it could be anything.  It feels like it's getting randomly puked out of the sky and just tossed out at random.
