I like all three ?

Black Rain pushes the limits to what I will accept as blink-182, but it's a damn good song

I guess if I had to:

I liked these

Last Train, Wildfire, TOTTM, Cynical, Long Lost Feeling, First Time, Ransom, Los Angeles, Built This Pool, Runaway

Not bad!

Sober, Bored to Death, California, SOOHM, Heaven, Emo Shit, Don't Mean Anything

Elements - but pretty bad

6/8, BOTO, KOTW, Rabbit Hole, Happy Days, Misery, Don't Mean Anything, Darkside, IRWIHY, Generational Divide, Pin The Grenade, Hungover You, No Future, HISALP, Teenage Satellites, San Diego, Hey I'm Sorry (because that intro..)

Stink

No Heart To Speak Of, Remember to Forget Me, Left Alone

Oliver's Views on Women

BIOMY, Black Rain, Parking Lot

Where would you put edging?

Thank you for your inquiry about my rankings of Edging.

Hard to compare, because it's clearly a different band with Tom in it but I would put it with 'I liked these' but not any higher.  I liked Edging for what it is, a fun laid back song with a sweet breakdown.  The chorus is a bit skip for me though except the final one.  It could be better sandwiched into an album though of more serious songs.  I like that they didn't try to do a whole lot and were just like less pretentious.  Verses good, vibe good, prechorus and breakdown are vintage blink I like.

TOTTM might be my favorite song to come from the entire Skiba era. Major replayability over the years and highlights Skiba while still sounding like classic blink.

That was the best Skiba verse by a mile.

On a serious note, I don't really mind Cali ...MUCH (Cynical, Bored to Death, Built this pool was fun, other songs are saved by Travis' drumming), but I never really liked Nine. I haven't listened to Nine since it came out, there's probably some good stuff there but, I'm too stubborn lol. Blame it on my youth was the nail in the coffin for me with the Skiba era anyway. Though I did like that one Christmas song they made, didn't see anyone mention that yet.

Less importantly the song titles on Nine are so damn cringe, I cannot get past that lol. Dick jokes are one thing, at least that's tied to their roots, but some of these titles lean on "moody teenager" and we're all too old for that shit.

Blame it on my youth was definitely NOT the direction I wanted the band to go.

Quality Skiba era songs: First Time, Heaven, Los Angeles, Black Rain, Generational Divide, No Heart To Speak Of, Bottom of the Ocean, Long Lost Feeling, San Diego, On Some Emo Shit

Good: Darkside, I Really Wish I Hated You, Last Train Home, Pin the Grenade, Quarantine

Decent: Bored to Death, Blame It On My Youth, The Only Thing That Matters, Misery, 6/8, Hungover You

Songs with good & bad parts: Happy Days, Run Away, Ransom, No Future, KOTW, Remember to Forget Me, Left Alone, Hey I'm Sorry

Average: Cynical, HISALP, Good Old Days

Bad: She's Out of Her Mind, Sober, Teenage Satellites, Rabbit Hole, California, Parking Lot, Don't Mean Anything, Wildfire

Annoying thing about California is there's so many bad songs. On the albums where Tom is in blink, there's way less bad songs. What's even more annoying is some of the good songs would've been amazing if not for their bad parts. Hey I'm Sorry is the worst culprit for it

I feel like I might be the only one on here who enjoys the song California. It’s not perfect, but the build up is great and melody works. One of the better Skiba era tracks imo.

I like that song too

I remember loving Left Alone when It came out and now it's very meh to me.

Best songs on Cali are BTD, Cynical, Sober and San Diego

Nah, I'm also a big fan of that song. Weirdly reminds me of the relationship I got out of just before the album came out so kinda bittersweet for me

Left alone just had one of the best riffs from the era. It’s very blink and untitled like, similar to always. Unfortunately the rest of the song leaves a lot to be desired but the base of the song is one of those moments that shows me mark still has it as good as he ever did. Hopefully all he needs is Tom to help elevate his new ideas, and vice versa.
