I enjoyed the first one a little bit. Not heaps but enough to want to  play the next but then I read you have to play like every the r game in between to get the full story and that turned me off it.

1. October 20th is the only date that makes sense, I knew it. The title makes sense too, but it doesn't give me a sense of finality, more a "let's try this one more time with feeling".

That title gives me that feeling too, even more so with the ellipses. It's also a little melancholic.

The only doubt I have is about the date: the new Rolling Stones album will also be released on October 20th and it will be a great challenge between two rock acts.

You're not wrong, every games lore is important. I'd still say it's worth it if you like the story and want to see where it goes. Shit gets pretty crazy ?. Definitely give KH2 a shot if you have any interest. It's pretty much the best game in the series and you can decide from that if you want to continue.

I couldn’t be bothered doing the whole lore when it was covid lockdowns and i was playing lmao I can’t see me getting into it now.

Playing 3 after just beating 2 would leave you quite confused I'd think. So many characters and plot points are introduced between those two entries that you'd be wondering wth is happening the entire time. There's really only 3 spinoffs that are must plays. Chain of Memories, Birth By Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance. There's also a short demo/prologue to play before 3.

The series isn't that difficult to understand or get into. The amount of games and lore has been memed and misconstrued overtime when in reality it isn't that bad at all.
