Single was used to promote the tour and then they went into the studio. It was never implied or suggested the album would be out before the tour kicked off, just wishful thinking from all of us. Would it have been smart? Probably not enough time to get a replacement drummer and have him up to snuff in time for the tour. I mean this shit sucks, but its not hard to see why they both haven't replaced Travis like they did with Brooks years back, or why Travis isn't ready to play a tour in a few days one handed.
