He’s literally a long time personal friend of the dude and I’m sure it’s been great fun for him to reconnect with Mark over the past few years. I think it’s great that even as Mark’s friend he’s unabashedly an old school blink fan who doesn’t care much for the newer stuff, and he doesn’t try to pretend otherwise to suck up to Mark. Didn’t agree with his opinions much outside of DR being a masterpiece and at times those opinions came across as super pompous, which wasn’t helped any when he always immediately followed it up with a self-deprecating joke or something to cover his tracks and not stir the pot.
