I met Mark at a meet and greet in June 2019 and he was great.

I felt bad for Alex, the guy from All Time Low. No one was bringing ATL or Simple Creatures merch to sign haha and Mark was just giving him grief about his hair.

Had mark seen his own hair then? He looked like the ff7 logo ffs. Alex’s hair is fair shit too but marks wasn’t great.

Mark was a dick when I met him. He had mentioned in an interview he recently read a Benedict Arnold book. Since I am a Rev War buff I thought I could chat with him about something totally unrelated to Blink for a change.

So I was like "I hear you just read a book on Benedict Arnold...."

And he was like "Eh......" awkward silence. "Oh yeah" and then he rolled his eyes.

Decided to just back out of that conversation, Jerk off.

I think this is pretty accurate haha (before Davey became the Discord Warlord) but I don't think it paints either of them in a bad light to be honest.

Davey leaned into his connection a little bit but he never claimed to be actual close friends. He was obviously a superfan before they blew up, he sometimes hung out with Mark's sister and talked mostly to Scott if I remember right, and he got to be around for some cool early days stuff. There were probably dozens/hundreds of people who crossed paths with Mark in very similar ways 25-30 years ago.

Hell even with my own small-time band there were people who regularly came to a bunch of our shows 10+ years ago who I was friendly acquaintances with at the time but wouldn't remember right off the bat right now.

Fair enough; and don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being a huge fan, and talking about old band stories. Thats all great stuff.

The issue I have is when these dudes pretend they are "guys on the inside" and try to build a reputation on that; when they truth is; the band barely even knows who they are.

Its kind of sad.

I never said Davey was best friends with Mark. I said he pretends like hes a man on the inside when he isn't.

When they did that whole zoom meetup with Mark I remember Davey said "I am glad that I could set that up for you all" and "I will send over a message to Mark saying you guys enjoyed that",

I could have taken all the time I've spent on this forum in the last 20 years and dedicated it to a full on channel dedicated to Blink history, Blink news, and kissing Mark's crack.....and maybe even a book.
