It's safe to say we're past our prime

I wanted to be a teenage sensation
Guess that's a little late for me
But if I were to be the voice of a generation

Now we're stuck being "Generation WHY?"

This sounds like more a pop-rock with punk influence song. It is a well produced song. While I am no one to speak, I think the guitar's volume and dirty sound should be turned up more. The voice sounds like Tom DeLonge's, though, and considerably closer than many ever get. Sounds pretty good, I'd love to hear it played in a professional studio with professional equipment and a good producer like Tom Lord-Alge. This is a really good demo!

Hey, wanna hear a guitar riff you might find use from?

D major on fret 7, D minor on fret 7, A major on fret 11 (or 13, pick which one you prefer) and D minor on fret 3.

It sounds like a Fall Out Boy style riff from F.U.C.T., and F.O.B. are very similar to blink-182, though a more hardcore band. I find that hardcore punk, while good with power chords, doesn't need any more. Just power chords is aggressive and boring, whereas major and minor chords add a classic sense while still, depending on the drummer and/or vocalist, staying aggressive and new. No one needs A5 in music, because it gets boring. But a similar, more interesting chord, the D maj/min chords are more interesting.

By the way, what's the chord progression here? I'd love to know.
