OMT sounds so much better than Cali. I think Cali has stronger songs though.

They both sound like shit because of Travis blast drumming on both kills a lot of songs.  It's a good mixer/producer away from making that sound majestic though. 

Obviously both have other issues (and strengths) though.

im totaly againts the whole re-writing history thing and changing an album after its release without making it clear that this is an updated version

and leaving the original version be, unless its like some sort of error like wrong title or a song missing that should of been there

but any artistic refinment of the work is out of the question theres something special about the first orginal release that u cant re-capture ever agian after that

and artist and label shouldnt "savage" that up with these afterward concealed editing

 

no issue with new versions as long as they are seperated and clearly marked as what they are

It's kind of crazy that the original mix will be lost to time unless you have the physical release.

Perhaps they could work with John Feldmann of Goldfinger. He's been producing a lot of big pop punk albums of late, so I hear

I kind of am interested in what Feldmann would do with Tom, I just have no idea.  I hate to say it, because the guy sucked with Skiba/Mark/Trav combo, but I honestly think he'd make it sound like Toypaj-lite.  That's the style he always admired and this current Tom would sound pretty sweet there.

I like how Travis handled Tom though, it's just his fucking drumming that was god awful in every way.
