Everybody who enjoyed the Skiba era would have taken a sane and focused Tom back in a second. That Tom just didn’t exist until Mark got sick and they remade their friendship. These songs being great aren’t the “gotcha” moments to the skiba era enjoyers a lot of people think they are.

We’re just lucky and get to enjoy an extra 2 blink albums the haters don’t ?

During Dammit my friends threw me in the air, first time crowdsurfing at a blink show ? when Dammit was over everyone was starting to leave, but Mark, Tom and Travis came back on stage and Tom said "this song is about us" and played OMT. Tom sounded great on OMT at soundcheck today when they played it twice so I don't know why his voice cracked and couldn't sing it earlier, but I guess they were really drained at that point, I've never seen Mark and Tom play with this kind of energy and they even exceeded the usual 90 minutes, they played 105 minutes tonight (!!!)


I knew this show was going to be great, but I didn't know it was going to be THIS GREAT. They sounded amazing, then the banter and the stupid things they said. They were really the band we fell in love with when we were younger. It was never like this when I saw them on the untitled tour and all the other times during the first reunion.

Italy didn't disappoint, crazy sing along, everyone in the crowd was dancing and moshing, they sang all the riffs lol (on anthem pt 2 it was so comical but I loved it ?) and I could see that Mark and Tom loved the crowd. They were in a bit of disbelief when everyone sang MTYK and DWM so loud.

I bawled my eyes out during all Adam's Song because of Mark's speech, but for the rest of the time I had this huge smile on my face and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world. They have the world on the palm of their hands right now, we're really living one of their best eras.

I'm writing here because we're talking about DWM and OMT  live, tomorrow I'll post some pics and videos on the tour thread.

I agree but I’m speculating he’s done with wanting anything dark in his life after chemo.  I don’t blame him.

Yeah, I could see that.  But it'd be a shame to not take advantage of the kind of material that makes him be the best with his song-writing skills.  Heck, he only touched on it in One More Time, but the line about his sickness and airplanes falling from the sky has hit me the hardest of all the new blink lyrics so far.  And I just know that he could do more if he wanted to. Though, I agree, I wouldn't blame him if he didn't have any interest in addressing it beyond that. 

With a song title like Childhood, I wouldn't be shocked to see him address this stuff at least one more time on the album.

K, but what does that even mean?  Do we have definitive confirmation that they wont address his cancer on the album (again beyond One More Time), or are you just being speculative? Like I said, I can understand why he may not want to say much more about his cancer, but I've not seen anything definitive one way or the other in regard to that subject appearing more on the album.

I liked the Skiba era and appreciated it for what it was, despite the warts.

You’d be fooling yourself if you think there weren’t posters who trashed Tom during that era. Turns out the band is much better with him. Feels good man

People trashed Tom cause he was crazy, uncommitted spaceman who ditched the band during that period. Honestly don’t believe anyone would’ve have trashed Tom about the prime years(CC-untitled) or tried to claim the skiba era was better than that.

Oh snap that's on me.  I didn't recognize that Bad News as a new song title.  Definitely haven't memorized all the new song titles yet.  Very curious now to hear that song specifically.

The real issue with the skiba era is that they marketed it as blink albums but we all knew and felt it wasn’t really blink at all.
