Tom did write a different chorus, and had the Olés at the end finale, now that I’m hearing that I would have liked that equally as well if not bit more but the song still kicks and it’s not my song it’s theirs.  I just think it’s weird that the drummer/producer is the one switching things around instead of Mark & Tom or all 3, but I don’t want to ruin peoples joy so imma shut up.

Travis is the producer but I don’t think he’s calling all the shots without input from Mark and Tom. It even sounds like he’s working alongside Aaron Rubin to decide what’s best for the songs.

That’s why I said Feldy moves.  It definitely didn’t ruin anything just stating a minor gripe, which I’m saving for Neg Nancy thread to not ruin people’s joy

I just can’t imagine Mark and Tom settling on using the outro chorus for the whole song and then Travis just deciding he likes the ole’s better and switching it and the others just being like “ok”.

I definitely say it’s a band decision and they’re working on these ideas all together and Travis saying “I did this” just comes from the fact he was the one actually on the tools making the switch.

You are probably right, but that's not what he said lol.  He probably just was responding to someone asking specifically (?) why he worded it like that.  Otherwise I feel like my nuisance with it is more valid.   The way he worded it is like he's sitting in the control room mixing the album after they're all done and shifting stuff around he thought was the better/good idea.  I would be shocked, but not entirely, if that were true. 

It does annoy me a tad if he's doing the latter is all I'm saying.

That would annoy me too if it was that way but they all just seem way too invested in this to just record their parts and leave it up to the producer to decide.

Feldmann would have made the chorus na na na, na na OLE! where the ole is a gang vocal and he would tell Tom to cut that shit out of the final chorus it’s too complicated for pop zombies.

 

on the actual topic, we’re talking about Tom delonge where his whole problem with blink for 20 years is having control. Dude wouldn’t roll over if the songs chorus he made was completely changed and he hated it that way.

He’s probably just proud of the stuff he’s worked on. It’s a good way to promote yourself as well.
