I've got to say that this is one of better songs on the album, one that I think is going to be timeless. I wish the MV didn't ruin it for me. First time I listened to it it felt like a joke.

I wish this song used the Outro for the Chorus.  Whosever that idea (Tom I believe Rubin hinted at?) was right.  The Oles make for a perfect outro, but old as heck already for the chorus. 

The instrumental though has grown on me a lot, that switch up from guitar to straight bass is pure energy.  Too bad it kinda falls flat with the prechorus/chorus for me.  Verses and bridge/outro are beauty though.

Strong disagree. The final chorus is the best payoff for the song.

Nah, the ole's being the main chorus is best. The final chorus is great but too wordy to be used more than once.

Yeah the oles work so well throughout the song and then the payoff with the “proper” chorus at the end is just amazing.

Doing it the other way would lessen both the ole and proper chorus. Travis thinking this way was best was definitely right.

it’s the best payoff because it’s a better part.. but we are allowed to disagree on this.  I think they had it right with the original thought, just wouldn’t have been as “explosive” as a song I guess
