I don't think it's a single to be fair - they aren't going to release all the album bangers before it comes out, they want a mix of single/strong stuff with the more secondary tracks. 

It would suck to hear just the 5-6 best songs on the album before it comes out as the rest would just disappoint everyone. 

I quite like it, it's very poppy but a bit of a bop and it's really catchy - prefer it to Edging but the other three more recent songs are stronger overall.

This one is very simple, but fun. I definitely enjoy it more than Edging. It almost feels like a California song but with Tom, and I have no problem with that.

To me it sounds like a Taylor Swift or Harry Styles song. If you love pop music then I can see why you think it’s great. I don’t think it’s terrible just a bit meh.

Fun little love song! Feels very late 90s beachy pop like Sugar Ray or something, but with enough Blink-ish personality to make it stand out (LOL at Tom singing "having sex all night, it's fucking with my head" in a song).

I won't revisit this one a lot and I can't quite get onboard with some of the more modern pop flourishes, but I feel a lot more patience for a harmless little ditty like this since I know they have plenty of bangers and serious moments on the album too.

Can't really judge beyond that based on the low quality rip. Excited to listen again more closely tomorrow!

It sounds a bit like One Direction even. I can see it playing at my local Target. I'm warming up to it, it's just a harmless lovesong.

Sounds nothing like The Cure. People spouting that nonsense clearly haven't listened to many of their songs. It takes more than a borrowed rhythm line to be a Cure song.

Edging will be the worst song on the album. If we got more songs like that, we'd be in for a terrible album. But... it seems that was a song that they threw together quickly for an announcement song.

This song is pretty decent. I just wish the 2nd verse was like the 1st. I wish the outro was longer with more verses. But, if this is as bad as it gets, we're in for a great album.

It's amazing they can make things like NaNas and Oles catchy.

I think the album is going to be great.
All the songs that have come out so far kinda cover all of their eras (except Cheshire/Dude Ranch, even though some people say DWM could be a very polished Dude Ranch song) and despite that, they all flow together and feel very organic. I really like this.

My hot take is that California and Nine walked (and some of us had to bare with them) so that blink with Tom could make some good pop punk/uplifting music again.
If there hadn't been a return to the happy blink sound with Cali and Nine, we would never have had a song like DWM today because they would still be making serious songs in the vein of Neighborhoods/DED. Which weren't bad but this time it looks like Tom has finally embraced what blink means to him, to his bandmates and to his fans, and I'm sure the album will expand into different sounds and there will be a little bit of everything for everyone.  
 

Back to Fell In Love: the chorus is already stuck in my head and I only listened to it twice and the Close To Me intro is cool. I could do without the plastic sound of Tom's voice but this is how production goes nowadays. Especially if Travis is the producer.
I know the song will grow on me when I get to listen to it in better quality and on repeat.
