I actually don’t have a problem with Beato. Hes cool but easy to make fun of. The guitarcirclejerk on Reddit likes to rip on him. Have you seen his videos on WMAA and ATST?

Yes they were cool. Never heard those backing sounds till that video.  He rants too long though for my daily visiting.

I just saw this without the context.

Mike Dirnt did play on the classic album How to Make Enemies and Irritate People and the classic single Suzanne Is Getting Married. I remember Mark saying in an interview about Green Day that it was so cool Mike found time for that right around Basket Case being a hit.

I got that too, but you’d need to get Jan’s permission for me to show you.

I love those Rick Beatioff videos on WMAA and ATST. Hell even his other videos of "What makes this song great" are awesome!

Just found this. Green Day playing When I Come Around in 1993 in the Basque Country, small 'venue'.

Found this super interesting story about the Nirvana/Green Day connection (fascinating quotes indeed)

From @soundpropellerpatrick113

I can confirm that Kurt heard Green Day, and that he really enjoyed Dookie! I was a friend of his since well before fame, and by '94, I was working at the Tower Records on 5th and Mercer in Seattle. Our friendship revolved around listening to music, talking, laughing, etc. The last time I saw him was in March '94, when I played Dookie and other stuff like Voodoo Queens for him, as we talked about everything that was going on for him at that time (discussing divorce, custody of Frances) I had already played Kerplunk for him, so he was definitely well aware of Green Day as a band. Anyway, I thought I'd share my firsthand experience, especially since the question came up, that I can actually answer, I thought you might find that interesting. - Patrick

I don't know why but I never really loved Dookie. I like Kerplunk and Insomniac more when it comes to more punk rock Green Day.

And also my most controversial Green Day opinion is that 21st Century Breakdown is the only album I like to go back and relisten from start to finish now. I believe it's an excellent piece of work.
