I'll have to listen again but the chorus kinda fell flat for me. Loved the other bits though.

This song is really good, I'm loving it (on my fifth listen (played it twice before doing one run through on the album (want to digest more of the songs before I share my thoughts))

That being said, this song is a worthy successor to Part One and Part Two. Also (this isn't a dig, I actually love it, but...) any other Sum 41 fans notice that towards the end there were parts that sound like it could have come off of Underclass Hero? With the melody and tubular bells, which is a positive because UH also had like an anthemic sound to it that this song delivered well.

Didn't love Mark's part, but growing on me.  Love the second ending.  Probably most fun chorus to sing.

I love how it sprinkles in all of their other intros a bit too (whether intentional or not)

Anthem 2, "That Ghost" line, Cynical drums a bit, then makes it it's own with it's own melody. Homages a bit of everything throughout that has to do with punk and blink..

The first verse is as pure Dude Ranch/Toypaj as it gets, Enema post chorus, the adds the extra guitars to feel a bit more Self Titled.  Chorus has the 'new' vibe they're giving.

This song is a ride. 

Only thing I didn't love was Mark's verse, but then he comes in with a hammer line "you'll finnd.  no one gave a fuck that you died"  

(I think those are the lyrics?). Chills.

 

Oh, and final breakdown ffs.  Slapped.

i mean come on. this is just outrageous to receive, in the year of our lord 2023, a blink song sounding like this. this is what we've always wanted. it gives us everything. it's just powerful, it does actually feel like a continuation of anthem pt 2, in ways i never thought possible... and the outro is just tear-inducing. it's so good.

i said this some time ago, when the song was sampled in the zane promo, but i can hear myself singing this chorus for the rest of my life.

I don't think blink ever wrote such a clear, outspoken motivational song. Mark's bridge is my favorite part, maybe my favorite moment of the entire record.

Sonically, being so atmospheric, I see this much more as a DED follow-up than from anything earlier.

This song is unreal. God fucking dammit. As an opener it just checks all the fucking boxes. I can’t believe we’ve gotten this.

A standout for me. The outro is my favorite moment of the album besides blink wave. Also think this is lyrically the best song on the album and one of the best songs lyrically they’ve ever done.

Neighborhoods / DED song but actually collaborative and progressive to me, a wet dream.

This is such an uplifting song and it's actually a first for them, because they're usually self deprecating in their lyrics. The most positive thing you hear in a blink song is usually Mark or Tom talking about trying navigate the clusterfuck that is life the best they can, but Anthem Pt. 3 is a real bomb of wisdom and positivity. And I didn't expect that. It also mixes the best of the Dude Ranch sound with the best of the TOYPAJ sound. 

It really brings a smile to my face. THE smile Mark was talking about in the interview. I almost teared up when he said that to Zane Lowe because it's so true, it was really like that when they walked on stage and started playing Anthem Pt. 2 two weeks ago. Everyone was smiling, hugging their friends/partners, screaming.  A real joy. Sorry for the digression. This song rules and I love this band too much ?

This was the song I was most scared of being shit. The pressure to live up to the last 2 Anthems was insane. But they fucking blew those songs out the water with this one. Holy shit. I fucking loved Marks verse, I just wasnt expecting to hear his voice and then it came in and swept me off my feet. And that final breakdown. Wow.
