It’s amazing how appropriately named this song is. Bands name a song something for nostalgic purposes to get peoples attention and then you listen to it and are like what the fuck is this. Letters to god pt 2 felt like that where I like that song a lot but I have no fucking idea why it’s called that. This song just feels like nothing but anthem pt 3 and it’s so cool the band was able to see that / make that decision.

Well said! I was kinda nervous when I found out they were actually making an Anthem Pt 3, I was worried it would be super cheesy and cloying but my god they absolutely nailed it so hard it retroactively elevates the first two Anthems in my mind haha.

Right now my favorite on the album.  It's every era of Blink in 1 song and it's aggressive.... Love it!

I could see them breaking up a concert into 3 acts with the Anthem songs.... would be a cool concept.

@Ghent you can apologize whenever you’re ready ?

Just goes to show how many potentially good ideas he wasted with boring AVA songs no one cared about because they were weird and boring

So sad but true.  AvA should have been 1-2 albums, fun little side project. not span an entire generation's time.

I thought the arc was perfect through the love project. As a concept album I still love love. That double album had a direction and completely unique sound love it or hate it. Everything since does not stand out to me as yea that’s AVA which mostly came from critter. It was a project he had already started before the blink reunion with the movie so I think it was fair to let him finish it out even though it was during the neighborhoods process. But then after that he should have started the shutdown process and things since then it would have been great if it was just blink the last ten years instead of the divergence we got again after 2013 and only just now are coming back.

to be fair though Tom really hasn’t made much music in ten years before this in the grand scheme of things. The dream walker which was released before officially leaving blink, the demos which were just half baked incomplete ideas, a couple ava ep’s which one of them was totally bizarre score type music, and Lifeforms.

Anthem pt 3 got me big this morning and I shed a few tears to it, it ticks all the nostalgia boxes and encompasses everything they used to be but also you can here the evolution in it.

One more thing, as soon as I heard Travis change up the second verse drum beat when I listened to the leak the other night I knew blink was back. It’s like a comfy little blanket for our blink eardrums lol.

Chorus is sensational. There’s nothing better than Mark and Tom harmonising

Not breaking any news here, but the last minute of this song is pure sex

The whole song is one big tantric session.

I love that it starts with this, absolute masterpiece for various reasons, but then goes into an album that is NOT all a throwback Toypaj/earlier era.
They really balanced things out perfect.

When you’re clenching both of your fists!

If I fall, on some nails!

So many moments on this song. It could not be more perfect for a follow up anthem intro.

I see what people are saying on Dude Ranch now, that guitar during the intro when it kicks in more. Pure DR.  Vocals sound a mix of DR/Enema on Tom’s verses.

Chorus reminds me of ATST for some reason
