One thing that stood out to me about the guitar in this song, it definitely had that hypnotic boxcar racer sound(idk if anyone will get this. It's very hard for me to describe) albeit its a little buried.

I'm ready to grab a copy on cd, none of my targets put it out early lol

i like how when the song starts it sounds like its gonna be snake charmer chorus but instead ur briliantly suprised with that super soft beautiful boxcar racer type of chorus

best song on that record, the bridge is a great surprise

On first listen, I thought the intro, verse and chorus didn't really all fit together. Then that went away after the second one and now it's one of their best songs ever.

Keep coming back to this one.  Everything about it is perfect. The keyboard/synth thing in the verses, the ohs in the chorus

My god you can hear BCR. Love it, also reminds me a lot of Violence, obvious and snake charmer. Not that they sound alike, but the way the songs are built with octave chords and bending notes. Great song

It's allegedly "Welcome terrified" according to the vinyl and the lyric video.

We'll go terrified sounds better and makes more sense.

Someone on reddit said this was like an Elevator part 2, and that makes me love this song even more:

I doubt it's true but I love the idea haha

I really love the disconnection in the lyrics:

"I'm lifting past the skyline and no one seems to notice my fall" - he's going up but he's also falling and it goes unnoticed

"laughter from the children, the streets are made of silence for you" - he can hear laughter but the streets are silent

I don't know what this means because it's Tom, but I love it, you listen to the words and you can actually picture the scene frame to frame in your head

I am understanding this song as dying and your soul being lifted somewhere, being afraid of going to heaven/meeting god?

Yeah thats what I’m thinking as well. And through that lens, I can see the line being either “welcome” or “we’ll go”. Fuckers need to clarify it for us ?

'We'll come, terrified' is how I've been hearing it

This song is sensational. The verses are gorgeous and the chorus is a force of nature. I fucking love it. Tom sounds fantastic. It’s so boxcar racer which is always great
