scoobs Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 To me this song feels like generic pop punk filler, but its so solid that it can't be called filler. This would be a standout on a much worse blink album (neighborhoods) 1 Quote
Knapppers Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 Love the verses on this one but the chorus just ain't it. Don't know if it's how many words he's forcing in there or how high pitched Tom sings it but it just ain't sticking. 1 Quote
Ghent Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 I’m starting to like this one more with more listens, especially in the context of the album 3 1 Quote

Jan Mortensen Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 It’s gotten better, but still consider it lower half. There’s not really a lower half though, so just not one of the perfection songs for me. I think it’s the chorus too, but it’s fun to listen to. Quote
Man Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 It feels like a DED song imo. DED x California. 1 Quote
Elisa Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 this song gets better with each listen we're losing something we had when we were younger ? 2 Quote

I didn’t think I’d like it that much but I find it such an easy listen. I love the verses especially Mark’s 2 1 Quote
Coightstradamus Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I’ve loved it from the get go but it does keep getting better and better. 3 1 Quote
Boavida Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 This song is so awsome... the first to 2 chorus both have 3 compasses with a 7/4 time signature and one compass in 4/4 time sigure signature, reapeted 2 times which gives it a sense of tension that releases on the last chorus were the time signature is 4/4 all the way through. So clever and great. First time I heard it I had goosebumps even without counting to understand what was really happening and the song overall fells so nostalgic, man, what a great time to be a Blink-182 fan. 3 Quote
Jan Mortensen Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 This song has improved over time. It's a nice mid paced song mid album. Overlooked how good the guitars are too. 1 Quote

The chorus is a little annoying but overall I really like it. I like it way more than I thought I would 7.5/10 I still stand by this being the dark horse. I fucking love Mark’s verse. Again Mark fucking kills it 1 Quote

Again Mark fucking kills it I think so. I skimmed by it every time upon initial listens, for whatever reason, (didn't live up to snippets, rest of album was more explosive), now it's creeping up as my favorite listen going through. The guitars and verses are sweet. I think this and YDKWYG are the sleepers forsure. 1 Quote
Elisa Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 this song is so uplifting, i love it. mark's verse is perfect, then the chorus and the little arpeggio + the palm mute on the verses. 1 1 Quote
Man Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I thought the chorus is more melancholy ? 1 Quote

I feel it gets overused. What’s the context? You’re willing to listen to this song after you already listened to the good songs on the album? Lol 1 Quote

Listening to a whole album start to finish is different than pulling up individual tracks.. *whole 4 Quote

The song hits at the right time during the album and works better as a deeper cut than a standalone banger? It’s not something I want to skip while I’m listening to the album but also not something I’m going out of my way to play randomly? 2 1 Quote
