Yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see what drums were shown and ended up in what track... I remember watching Travis drum for Neighborhoods, but never really tried matching up the drum preview to the finished song other than the obvious ones.

Also digging through old clips and "Childhood" is gonna have interesting drums and a good guitar sound (from what I could hear/gather).

Ah nvm, just saw your post on the Childhood song discussion. Tbh there’s not a lot to go off for the guitar tone, but the drums sound cool.

Damn this is a cool song. The chorus is so damn good. Blink and synthwave (it's really not synthwavey) done right.

This was what I thought were getting in Fell in Love during the hype leading up to the album with the Robert Smith credit.

Jesus. I am over the fucking moon with this track. Can't stop playing it on repeat.

The ATST nod at the end is top notch.

This sounds soo much more like The Cure than Fall in Love. Such a fun tune!

That's my thoughts as well for my first listen (currently on my second listen so I can share my thoughts), and yeah this sounds more like a love letter to the Cure than Fell In Love (sort of like how Everything's Magic worked for me). Also I know it can't be helped, but I also hear a tiny bit of AvA in there. On top of that I can't help, but hear a bit of "This Is Home" on here as well. I feel like you could put "This Is Home" from 'Neighborhoods' and this track and they would flow together.

I forgot to quote you in my first post, but I hear what you're saying... It's the exact same synth outro for both songs, that's pretty cool.

Though funnily my first thought was you could go from this song to ATST and it would work (and it actually does), but I was misremembering things and thought there was a synth at the start (though I might be confusing the music video with the plane noise with how it is on the album).

I noticed the Synth sound immediately too. Was cool

as much as i love synthwave blink -- always is my favorite blink song -- this one didn't immediately grab me upon my first listen. but i must say, so frequently my favorite blink songs are the ones that sneak up on you, and you return to again and again. the chorus gives me rebel girl vibes, with its rather saccharine synth line.

Yeah, this track is a dream come true. Been wanting one more great blink tune in this vein for a long time. This takes the 80s sound even further than "Always".

Add some moody post-punk songs to the mix and it would be a perfect direction for a future blink album as a whole.
