this track is literally mind-blowing to me on first listen. i never imagined a blink song sounding like this. it works so well. i'm in love with the chords they used, the synths, the lyrics... it's just nuts

Still need to give this a few listens, but this is a very cool moody song and a nice outro for the album... My mind is blanking, but it reminds of another moody experimental song that works as an album closer. Honestly, not my kind of style (so I probably won't go to it that much other than to gather my thoughts on it some more), but in the context of the album it's nice.

Most unexpected blink song since "Fighting The Gavity". Love love love. Those 2/3 people that listened to the album early and described this as mid really sold it short. Psychedelic + IDM/Glitch pop undertones. The outro also felt like hearing something from my old SNES coming back to me...

Unlike openers, blink never had particularly great closers. Now, this gives "I'm Lost Without You" some company.

This is a weird one, I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I don’t like the “autotune” on Tom’s voice in the chorus, but I think it’s supposed to go with this whole experimental, electronic-rock, arcade-y(?) vibe they got going on here. I will say that I think the synth outro is pretty cool and gives off some Postal Service & Motion City Soundtrack vibes.

This is a really fucking cool sound they’re pulling off. Definitely adds a bit more flavor to round out the album

Was confused by this track on the first listen. Didn’t hate it or even dislike it but wasn’t sure I liked it.

Second listen I have no doubt. Really diggin it. I agree with @Dont Know What Jans Got that this sounds like a gorillaz song. It’s weird for blink but works really well, especially as a closer. That outro def has postal service vibes too.

i appreciate the song and stuff but right now I can't see it growing on me either even though i love experimental stuff. hearing this was like the first time I heard all of this, I just thought "wtf is this?" haha

I ended up loving all of this and songs like fighting the gravity i instantly loved on the first listen but this one just doesn't click right with me. i don't hear the moody vibes that people are hearing. I think it's the chord progression i just don't like

Its definitely out there for blink but somehow it seems to click and really flow well as a closer, feels like its got influences of the beatles and mgmt to the gorillas.. its like they said anything goes on this record

I swear I can actually hear a little bit of Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT and all that kind of melancholic indie songs from the 2000s in the verses of this song.

This is up there with I’m Lost Without You for me right now. It’s amazing to see blink continue their tradition of nailing the last song. Please Take Me Home, I’m Sorry, Even if She Falls, Anthem, California (didn’t love that one but it grew on me), and even Remember to Forget Me wasn’t bad. I feel this song has continued the tradition.

+ Plastic beach Gorillaz for me.

 Yet somehow Mark manages to hold his own or sound as good as any of it.  The confidence feels present there, he doesn’t seem as hesitant or unsure.  He’s a great vocalist.

The imagery is really rad with this song. Even without listening to the lyrics, the vibe and effects make you feel like you’re taking a blast to the past while still being taken there by a 2023 band.  Classic American rock vibes throwing it back, and of course the arcade effects top it off. 
 

This song puts blink in a whole new league.

Childhood is an amazing finish.  It starts out weird, but you don’t care because the albums been amazing, then it starts hitting notes of just a perfect last song type vibe, the whole 2000s melancholy thing, it’s hard to explain it all. Then it drifts out into this 8 bit postal service thing making you feel all sorts of things, and as trippy as this whole timeline is.

It also perfectly ends with you wanting to hit Anthem pt. 3 right away again.

Incredible.  Like I said, everything else almost feels like practice at this point (not saying better or worse), it’s just a huge evolvement.

Anthem 3 and Childhood are the most perfect bookends to this album. I still cant believe how good this is.

hope I have this experience too, it's the only one that didn't click for me off the bat.  The outro of it is so good though.
