The imagery is really rad with this song. Even without listening to the lyrics, the vibe and effects make you feel like you’re taking a blast to the past while still being taken there by a 2023 band.  Classic American rock vibes throwing it back, and of course the arcade effects top it off.

Oh yeah, that’s what I came here for. The “2023” line really threw me off at first. Not sure if anyone else? But it sort of broke the 4th wall in a cool way that fits after re listening and I don’t dislike it. The album is like a 4th wall breaker at time, which is super unique.

i love the 2023 line. who the fuck ARE they now, this long into their career? who are they as parents and people? it’s self aware in a way they do best.

this is going to be one of my favorite blink songs ever. i love the exploration into this sound — it’s not breaking new ground but it’s a new sound for them. and it works!

Remember when we were young and we'd laugh at everything, got caught up in a world that forgot how to dream, I'd never thought we'd end up here, we're back in time to the best years

Lol, I thought you were making a statement, not singing the lyrics.  Good part.

hope I have this experience too, it's the only one that didn't click for me off the bat.  The outro of it is so good though.

It’s growing on me more and more with each listen. It’s a really good song.

really enjoying this song. the melodies are great and its always cool to see the boys do something different for themselves. it feels weird to say this, but i wish that travis didn't do any drumming in the outro and just let the synths carry the song out. very minor complaint though, i can see myself coming back to this one

I had the same initial thought. the drum ending reminds me of ILWY, and i’d prefer if it was just synth swirls into the ether to conclude that one.

This is a beautiful way to end the album. It sounds like if an old rock 'n' roll songwriter met blink. Weird eeling. Interesting exploration and experimentation.

It sounds a little bit distorted, overall, and I'm listening the digital HI-RES copy of Qobuz. I guess is an aesthetic choice.

Funny you say that, I thought of the Beatles the first time I heard the song

Yes, mate. Beatles, Beach Boys and earlier. That sort of stuff. Is that kind of minor chord and little chord progression they trhow in the verses and chorus.

I really don't have any words for this one. I need to listen to it more, though I will say the first thing that comes to mind when I hear it is "floaty".

That's all I got!

I love this song. It sounds like the song that would play in the credits of an early 2000’s movie about a group of friends getting older or something

I love the outro in this so fucking much, I can’t get over how it (randomly somehow) perfectly wraps up and sums up the album, but also makes you want to start right back over on Anthem again.  It had that underlying sadness that exists in this album beneath the celebratory and exciting nature

truly a classic

We always talk about how great blink’s openers are, but their last few closers have wrapped up their respective albums so well:

I’m Lost Without You

Love Is Dangerous (I know this isn’t the closer for the deluxe album, but I think the track ordering on deluxe was phoned in, so fuck it)

Childhood

All three have an air of finality to them, yet circle back to the openers perfectly, and make it hard to not just loop the album all over again. Really impressed with what they have managed to pull off in making their albums feel ‘complete’.

Lol I didn’t even realize Love is Dangerous was their closer. Like that song but not great of a closer imo.
Didn’t ever get into LWY.

Anthem was good though.

sorry just being honest
