Reading through some of this thread again. Genuinely one of the best memories of being a blink fan. The whole build up was amazing. It’ll never be this good again because it was the first album back with Tom.

It really was one of the highlights of life.  My biggest regret is caving into those damn previews. I couldn’t help myself.

It was fun forsure.  I liked the stall deal.  But maybe it was the fact Anthem 3 was such a cock tease because it was (imo) the best part of the album Tom's first verse would have been mind bending without the preview.

Then to follow it up with 5 singles or w.e you want to call the flood of YDKWYG, WWWY, FIL, Dance With Me right before the album.  OMT and MTYK was enough honestly.  Swap DWM and Edging and it would have been a perfect release.

Still loved the fuck out of it. Just saying, in a perfect world..

Peaked to early then but would have been worth it IMHO.  That was an earth shattering first listens hearing a throwback Tom style like that and the guitars. Finale.  Damn.  Still is good today.

October 2023 = best time we’ve ever had as blink fans since I can remember. I always had the boards open on my computer at work and I was always online when I was home 😂 the collective shock and excitement and fun of it all was amazing.

When i heard anthem part 3 and blink wave for the first time, i literally had goosebumps! Then the zane lowe interview...

 

Still doesn't beat the first time i heard their first 4 albums tho...

Neighbourhoods i would say had more staying power than one more time.

The Highly Underrated Neighborhoods has in fact had more staying power than OMT.

OMT was more fun for me though, Neighborhoods was kind of depressing, remember that whole talk show show was dreadful, and didn't really look back.  Neighborhoods just __ well.  

Anthem 3 and Turpentine are really the only songs that gave me chills as much as (potentially more) than the good half of Neighborhoods.

 

I can't say which is better, both completely different eras and times and everything.  The music might have been a tad better on Neighborhoods, but Tom's voice and a few other elements, and just getting along playing well live again, marketing like a band etc again, are all better with the OMT era.
