I’m glad they are what they are, but will always wish we got one more Finn quality record. Leaving on Self Titled was just so disappointing. OMT would have been immense with even a decent producer, let alone Finn. That’s exactly what someone who enjoys overproduced radio garbage would say Quote

There’s a difference. I love underpolished and raw stuff and demo sounds. As well as NH. There’s a difference though. 1 Quote

allsystemsgo Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 How come we haven't had remasters of the old blink albums? Tons of bands have different mixes of albums released over the years, some good and some bad. Did the blink masters actually get destroyed in that universal fire from years ago? I want to hear some new mixes. 3 Quote
JarJarBlinks Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 I wouldn't call it "raw"...I'd call it hastily thrown together. 1 Quote

I don’t think anyone is calling it raw. It just doesn’t have a bunch of 808s and all that extra production polishing bullshit that makes them sound more like a pop group than a rock group Quote

allsystemsgo Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 The Enema demos were raw. Neighborhoods was not. 1 Quote

Champ182 Posted August 21, 2025 Posted August 21, 2025 Something can be "raw" and still good, like fruit or vegetables or nuts or whatever, and some music can be "raw" and feel just right too because the artist intends it to be that way. On the other hand, food can be "undercooked" which is different, and that's how I hear Neighborhoods. It just doesn't sound like it was quite finished or something. That's the demo quality in my opinion. It doesn't come across to me like some cool "raw" sounding rock record, it sounds more like it didn't have everyone's full attention and effort behind it and they put it out anyway because they were supposed to. Having said that, I still love a lot of the stuff on that album. But yeah, I wish it had been fully cooked. 2 Quote

Only that it should be fully cooked. I liked the Raw foods analogy. Not everything has to fit into your stupid Australian shark infested box. Quote
