Great interview. I’m so glad Travis is the glue of this band that holds them together in this day and age. The fact Travis was bringing up Tom’s return proves it was almost an inevitability. Also… kinda sad for Nine. It was briefly mentioned but the praise mostly went to California in this interview. I know it charted better but… also glad to see Mark’s honesty about writing songs for other people always ends up being forgettable whereas when he writes music for himself that’s personal, he gets a much better reception. I thought +44 would’ve proven that but he needed to do it with Bored to Death to feel creatively fulfilled.

Our snotty little punk band is growing up and it truly warms my heart.

only halfway through, but it does seem like it’s still just sound bites and face value. granted i have more to watch, but i wish they could just be more honest or forthcoming about the ways things were, especially in the past. sometimes i get the feeling they’re not being entirely truthful

It's an interview promo for the album not couple's therapy.
