Scott.
Just watched now. So good. I love Travis signing along to rock show 🤣 never seen him sing along before, tom with the ‘you’re welcome humanity’ on his guitar made me chuckle too. The crowd were great, yes they weren’t going fucking insane or anything but you could hear them singing along to basically every song, it’s so cool when you see young teenagers in the crowd, this band will never die. I think Tom was struggling towards the end in the bridge to ATST I think you can see mark walk over to him and Tom is saying ‘ I’m trying’. I think he was still sick. He genuinly looks like he’s in pain when he sings 🤣 I fucking love the feeling this bridge, the pink lights look so fucking cool during it. How lucky are we that these guys are back together and in a great place. So blessed. I’m 36 but nothing makes me happier than this band. 7

Tenks
Third time seeing the boys tomorrow after it being postponed for a full year.- I am buzzing.
Low Value Boy
I was there, the sound was actually a little bit shit the first third of the set (very quiet) but they sorted it out in the end. Thought it was brilliant and they seemed like they were loving it too. I do sometimes wish Tom's guitar packed a little bit more punch though, lead heavy songs and palm muting can sound a little bit empty at points. 1

I don’t care what anybody says. The guitar doesn’t hit the same with digital amps as using real amps. Not even close.
Rickay
It’d be great if they tried a 2nd guitarist and a keyboard player. Looks like it’ll never happen though.
Dylan_
David Kennedy would be a great second guitarist. Dude does want to be in the spotlight and would be happy to just chill on his own little section of the stage.
Tenks
My heart is full. 12 years later it was great to see the boys, I didn’t think it would happen. Added treat was that we got M+Ms, Wendy and Going Away to College. We lost Bored to Death, Anthem pt3 and my favourite song - Not Now, but I’ll take it. What a night. 1

Yeah, unfortunately it sounds like Tom hasn't fully recovered from his sickness and is still struggling... Hopefully once the UK and Ireland shows are done he can recover before he has to play the festivals here in America (5 shows... four in US and one in Mexico). Then they should take some more time off just to rest, all this touring must be draining for them. Edited August 28 by Monkey Chips
Tenks
Yeah it seems he's still struggling which must be horrible almost a month later. Next morning's thoughts on the gig: Still on a pretty big high. It was a great night, their biggest show in Ireland ever and first outdoors ( Over 15k, the previous was 10k). Considering they played Belfast the night before it was really cool to see it sold out and jammed. I was a decent distance back because a few of my group didn't have tickets for a the front section which was annoying but we all thought the sound was great. I thought that was interesting as none of them noticed that they used the backing tracks, etc and tbh, if I didn't post here I wouldn't have either. I can see why they do it now, as it really does help them put on a bigger show. I didn't notice Tom's voice fade other than the last two songs - but thinking back it's probably because I was singing over him for much of it haha. Favourite moments: Despite only a few pockets around me knowing Dance With Me, EVERYONE was going crazy for the chorus. Having the Ole's (especially in Ireland) really makes that song a winner for their live set. While I still think they should flip it and Dammit at the encore - I was pleasantly surprised with how many people knew and sung along with One More Time. It was beautiful.

I think what’s not hitting like it used to is mainly his playing, he used to really dig in back when they had no tracks and also the guitar isn’t as loud in the mix like it used to be partly because there’s a lot of tracks going on. but yeah you can even see the way he’s playing is pretty different, just kinda like strums chords out a lot rather than playing the full on rhythm parts because there’s rhythm guitar in the tracks anyways. I think they sound really good anyways just analyzing
loserkidsrabbit
- I got in with my recording equipment, here is what I captured. Unfortunately the audio recorder paused for a few minutes so I missed Cant Go Back and the intro and ending of I Miss You. Video recording was done using a Panasonic HC-V700. The mics (SP-CMC-2A) were clipped to my hat. What can be heard in the video is a mix of camcorder audio and audio from my microphones, although its mostly microphone audio you can hear. I had an absolutely epic time, second time seeing the boys too! Hope they play some UK Festival again soon, so I can get my recording equipment in haha

Chewy030
I wondered if he was still feeling it the other day they subbed out three songs he normally sings on for 3 Mark solo songs.
