I think it’s probably some of the prices taking effect too. A lot of hardcore fans may not be able to afford tickets and instead you got a lot of trust fund kids and people given tickets from corporations going and what not. Same principal of what worries me with the Lions increasing ticket prices so much , a lot of the real fans are getting priced out. I don’t think all the rich folk and corporate people who go will rock as hard for the team. I think same thing applies for a lot of these high priced concerts

The world is just going to shit in general.

People actually like mosh pits? I find them annoying as hell. Plus some asshole always takes it as an excuse to assault people and ends up getting kicked.

I’m not trying to run in a circle but people should be jumping up and down, singing, and at least getting a little rowdy. Nothing worse than someone standing at the gate who gets mad at someone being a little rambunctious. Those people belong in the nose bleeds.

I used to think nose bleed was the most aggressive pit where people left with bloody noses.

Yea I’m not sure where the term nose bleed came from. I think maybe because they’re cheaper seats so they were generally more rowdy people? Not sure.

By the way, do Gifs no longer work here?

Pennywise had the best mosh pits. Used to love getting rowdy as fuck at their shows in my youth, I was all about it. I remember the first time seeing them at warped tour and some random stranger next to me told me I better get ready and boy was he ever right lol. Had great times doing it. I’d have to make sure I brought some aspirin and tequila if I was gonna try to do that shit now

The mosh pit at a heavy metal concert when I was 15 was one of the best times of my life.

I’d rather sit in a bubble in the front row and my hat down low, so I don’t have to talk to anybody now.

Damn dude you never told me you moshed at day to remember before!

Yeah I just stay out of the way now. Either behind the pit or off to the right of left of the stage. That way you avoid most of it. Definitely not smart to be in the pit and not expect to be pushed around. That happened to my friend at a NFG show once ?

Yea , we’re doing 100 level seats again this time at Little Caesar’s Arena. It’s a perfect view because you’re still relatively close and elevated a little bit so you can see everything. I’m still gonna get loud and smoke the whole section out again tho lol.

I dunno, summer 2009 it got so smashed I was sticking my head up to get fresh air and they had to stop the show for like 10 minutes mid-song

I don't want to "mosh" ffs, I'm not 17. I'm just surprised by the space and casual standing around.

Yea I’ve been in some decent crowds, and the Honda civic tour was the only time I felt unsafe in a pit from crowd pushing. The shows I’ve been to after have had pretty dead pits.

Hardcore mosh pits aren’t my vibe. Nothing personal, although I do find it to be an odd flex to be the alpha mosher.

Nobody is saying they’re an alpha mosher you clown.

It's very nice that when they teamed up again to rehearse for tour they actually messed around and came up with a cool song. I agree that it has a good post Untitled vibe, it doesn't fit on OMT so I really hope they give us an EP by the end of the year if they're really inspired.

The hype train keeps going @Russel Coight ????

I love a good mosh every now and then. Just don’t have the stamina for a full show anymore. 3 or 4 songs for a set I’ll get in push about then just retreat back to my comfortable standing position.

It was Skillet lol.  But I've been to a Lamb of God concert too.  Skillet was crazier somehow.

I agree that some of the worst ones are some random place (like a blink concert, or a country fest) where there's a million sweaty bros who get too drunk and act like idiots and injure/assault someone.  The metalhead concerts just feel like sport/letting out some steam collectively.

Yeah i did 100 level in St Paul last year and had a great time, everyone around us was standing and singing every word. It was a blast.

Yea I’m not a metal guy but I feel most metal or punk shows that have a lot of moshing there is usually a sense of community and people will look out for eachother, pick them up if they fall, etc.

It was a Christian Hard Rock festival actually.  I think all of the circumsized dicks had everyone moshing harder than ever.

I’m gonna save the fact Jan is a skillet fan for a rainy day ??

They're super cringe, but when you're 15 it was a pretty cool.  The name still holds lol.  Respect to anyone that calls themselves a preferred pan name.
