It's cool how much energy he puts into it here and with his side band, and Tom shouting out a really good song from their new album specifically is a nice touch. "you heard the man", I'd love if they have random other pop-punk leads come out and perform like this every so often. I randomly love that new Story So Far album too, so it's a bit surreal seeing Tom hype it. The new TSSF album is so good. Also really enjoyed this. And he looked like he was loving it 1 Quote
Monkey Chips Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Looks like the ACL shows in Texas will be streamed: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_iwmjRNRTF/ I sadly already used the Hulu trial for Lollapalooza so I might have to wait for someone to rip this. Quote

Monkey Chips Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 I feel bad for the people at Ocean City, their show was awash from what I've heard and seen (some of the videos I've seen on reddit has the audio sounding BAD) Blink started late and had a super short set: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/blink182/2024/ocean-city-inlet-beach-ocean-city-md-1babbdb4.html 1 1 Quote

boxelder Posted September 29, 2024 Author Posted September 29, 2024 i'll be going to their show in huntsville alabama tomorrow at south star fest -- the first time they've ever played there, and only their third ever show in the state. looking forward to it! i don't expect many setlist changes and i just saw them in greenville, SC this summer, but it's a close enough drive for me to be worth it. plus, the way things have ended up with the festival scheduling, it's jimmy eat world > sublime > blink, which is a crazy lineup! 1 Quote
boxelder Posted September 29, 2024 Author Posted September 29, 2024 nvm it was cancelled. glad i didn't start driving! lol 5 Quote

That looked like quite a fun line up for that show in Huntsville. I know it's luck of the draw in many cases, but some of these promoters are playing with fire booking these shows during a notorious bad time for weather in many spots in the US. 2 Quote
Resident Zoomer Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 I would kill for blink to release a full studio version of their WYHSB cover. I wasn't on board at first with the slow moodier version, but it hammers the message home and fuck, WYHSB (the album) was truly Mark's magnum opus. My favorite album from the blink multiverse. Quote

Pirate Mexicano Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Even though it's been about a year and a half now, it still warms my heart and boggles my mind how enthused and how much effort Tom puts in to singing Bored to Death. Imagine if the Skiba era happened between 2004 and 2010, no chance in hell that Neighborhoods Tom would've allowed that song to even be in the set, let alone play it as well as he currently does. 2 Quote
