It’s so reminiscent of Cali + Deluxe it’s eery (but 1,000 times better).  Cali and OMT are more cohesive and have a concept of sorts, but the better bangers are on OMT pt 2 and Deluxe.

Something about Part 2 is nice because I feel like I can just settle into a song and enjoy the vibe. Part 1 in comparison is very overwhelming in a sense. I got too much of Travis’s drums, and the “Tom’s back Tom’s back we play fast music like the old days” vibe was kind of in your face a bit.  These newer songs are just classic blink making music and doing what they like to do. Experimenting a bit per usual. Part 1 is good obviously but these are just so much more solid to me.

I wish OMT was mixed the way Part 2 was mixed. OMT is just so much harsher on the ears and I've never been able to have it on repeat the way I've craved, even though I love almost all the songs so much.

Part 2 is more of a comfort listen I can throw on in the background or in the car because of that, and the songs themselves are just more "straight down the middle" for lack of a better phrase. It's Blink doing Blink things adequately, no more no less.

Yeah Part 2 is ideal or fine production for current time being, minus all the excessive vocal effects.  

That said, OMT almost has a bit of an authentic quality to it now because of how shitty the production is.. unfortunately there's nothing 'cool' or authentic about drums being too loud however.  But the other aspects forsure imo.

Im just saying it has this sort of clunky structure to the production now, that Part 2 doesn’t have.  I guess Neighborhoods or California would be a better comparison.  Like “wtf?” Why are blink so cursed or dumb with the production side of things when they are a multi million dollar band that can afford anybody yet they settle for the most amateur shit since Finn passed.

But it’s also slightly part of their charm.  Very flawed still despite being mega famous.
