It is a bit boring.  The catchy, quality songwriting from Tom is back, but something about the songs or production put me to sleep a bit too.

For me, AVA always seemed to have like 2 good songs per album and the rest was all shit. I definitely skipped the Love and Phamtom Break albums altogether though

Lifeforms was fresh because Tom, definitely, was leaving behind all the pretentiousness he showed specially in the Love era. It was simpler and with more variety. Anyway, I liked better The Dream Walker.

I liked the more faster songs from the Lifeforms album. Wasn't keen on the electronic slower ones.

Timebomb, Losing My Mind, Automatic and Kiss & Tell are the great songs from that album. Restless Souls, No More Guns and Rebel Girl are the ok ones.

Didn't understand the hype of Euphoria. The riff is good but that song as a whole isn't good to me. The other two songs are just trash with a couple of good parts in them

It has a fucking amazing chorus and its dynamically brilliant. Euphoria is one of my fave songs in years, no joke.

I gotta say.

Anthem Pt. 3 is the best song on the album.

As much as I love Turpentine, and some others, this song has stood the test of time as truly a classic by them.  Purely electric start to finish, with notes of all eras and a feel of something new plunked into one.  So good.

That song plays in my brain constantly. Sometimes I play it in the Ford too.

Imagine having gone in blind, no snippets or sneak peaks since EDGING a year ago.   And then hearing Anthem 3 come on.  Then DWM..

Would have been so unreal. 

Needed those snippets though. Waited so long.  The flushing was fun.

I would have burst into tears seriously. I nearly cried listening to Tom on MTYK when it was released with OMT. Anthem Pt 3 would have pushed me over the edge. The pure relief of not hearing that Ava/Neighbourhoods Tom voice would have been too much.

Dude me too. OMT was super special and emotional but then hearing MTYK gave me like full-body goosebumps, I never thought they would be capable of anything that crazy or intense ever again haha.

I like how they just dead dropped MTYK with OMT. A nice heavy song to balance it out.
