Ghent
Lol 6/8 sucks. Last Train Home, Good Old Days, Wildfire, Parking Lot, all holding up nicely. Most of the others never were that great and still aren't
Elite Takes - this is jan
EVERYONE EVERYWHERE OMG!!!!! noooo they didn’t! (Actually just chill and have a fucking sweet ass guitar bridge for a second and let the song organically build instead of forcing a vocal bridge again and again) WHAT!! It got better than the snippets! Fuck. This might just top Neighborhoods for me afterall. It’s close.

But it kicks ass regardless 9/10
Man
If You Never Left sounds like it came straight outta 2002, structurally.

If You Never Left is an awesome song except for the Reggaeton beats... damn you Travis.
Virtuous Xman
I'm enjoying all the songs. A nice addition for me.
Elite Takes - this is jan
Every Other Weekend, If You Never Left, Can't Go Back are all more radio friendly than anything on OMT imo. I could see one of those taking off as the 'new song' for Blink. They kind of have a groove going here again, not a fan of the robotic effects thing, but it sounds like they're gelling. Elite Takes - this is jan
Hold up, did Mark really drop a CIA line? Can I resurface my blink are undercover CIA experimenting on us conspiracy?
MassKirbycide
2 hours ago, Jans Stand said: I haven’t listened to the fulls yet but it really sounds like OMT is the new California (but better) and Pt 2 is just like the Deluxe (but better), random good songs, bad songs, maybe unfinished ideas That was always my impression. Considering Tom had already written Golden Showers before the 2015 breakup, I’m still convinced the base idea for a California-style record was already in their plan, so they’re just following through with that now in the OMT era. Elite Takes - this is jan
1 hour ago, Ghent said: Ok One Night Stand works way better as a full song. This is a perfect example of how/why Tom wasted his time with AVA. This is a HUGE AVA 💩turd💩 if it didn't have Mark and Travis involved. Song is salvaged and actually pretty good. 8/10 If You Never Left- Oh shit, do we have an emerging banger here? 9/10 with room to grow for sure So AvA with Mark is actually a bit of emo/Panic at the disco vibes or is it just me? His part gives me that era vibes. He probably dreaded reading off those lyrics 😄 Anyone else catching the vocal drop before the last chorus? This is the only song I liked better in snippets than in full, but it's still a good one. What I'm really liking in these new tracks are the variations in guitar/drums/structure. I almost accepted that was forgotten, this is great to have a little unpredictability.

I would love blink to go in this direction
Elite Takes - this is jan
Everyone Everywhere is really crushing me - minus Mark thinking this robot thing is probably cooler than it actually is. Luckily it goes quickly, might be a top 3-5 song for me on all OMT. I love the bridge/ending with a passion. Tom & Travis killing that one. Mark's song is Can't Go Back and If You Never Left (he sounds vintage here) 1
Champ182
Ok I have only listened to the rip from yesterday but I'm loving it way more than I expected! I didn't like the two they released early at all, so my low expectations have been surpassed for sure haha. I see these as b-sides/demos that have been polished up so I judge them a little differently than actual album tracks I guess. I hear a band figuring out their chemistry again and figuring out what works. I love the kinda sad 80s pop vibe in a lot of these songs, I think it suits them and they pull that vibe off really well when they incorporate it into their pop punk roots too. They're giving me a nice fall vibe. I'm sure I'll probably have some more thoughts once I get to know each song better.
2point5
Everyone everywhere is my least favourite of the new ones we’ve heard this week, but that’s only cos the others are top tier. I’m such it’ll grow on me with more listens.
Scott.
I like the mark versus on everyone everywhere. I like weird blink. I like fighting the gravity and I even like the autotune on ransom 1
Champ182
Take Me In doesn't quite work because it sounds like the vocal melody was written for people who are actual ballad singers who can belt it out with range and control, which Mark and Tom are not. The bridge especially sounds like someone playing a Tom/Mark keyboard rather than actual vocals hitting the notes haha. I pray they never attempt that song live 😬
Elite Takes - this is jan
Just now, Scott. said: I like the mark versus on everyone everywhere. I like weird blink. I like fighting the gravity and I even like the autotune on ransom Me too, huge Fighting the Gravity stan, but it feels like he's just trying to fit in with Travis & Tom on this song by doing his funky thing. It's kind of charming in that sense, but it's so Simple Creaturesy I guess? Plopped in a harder rock vibe. It's strange, doesn't kill it for me at all just where I unfocus from the song for a second. You gotta know Travis and Tom talked about Boxcar quite a bit with the likes of Terrified, More Than You Know, Fuck Face, this song coming into the mix, wanting to make things heavier at times. I'm a fan, but glad it's not all they're doing.
