It’s funny how just simply adding back in guitars (see If You Never Left) is such a forgotten thing now that it stands out so much even when it’s just basic Tom stuff.

Cali bots/Kansas Krew have to be in heaven right now with this release have to think when listening to it.

We always in heaven tbh

Until a couple of hours ago I didn't even know that all the new songs are coming out on Spotify in a couple of hours, I thought the release date was September 14th lol I'm so excited now and I really looking forward to listening!!

Morning after review:

no fun - great song. Love toms verses. Riff is cool. Simple chorus but it works.

All in my head - love the harmonies in the verses. Chorus is catchy as fuck with decent energy. Lazy bridge brings it down but doesn’t ruin it.

cant go back - beautiful. Just gorgeous song. Feels like a continuation from 2003. Don’t mind it being short, actually like that it doesn’t have a big pay off and just stays mellow

Every other weekend - big grow on me from last night. Love it. Instrumental bridge is fantastic and the way it goes Into the outro chorus is just fucking fantastic. Amazing song.

Everyone everywhere - another big grow on me after last night. Still kinda sounds like a few different songs merged together but it’s working a lot better for me this morning, actually the same feeling I had about turpentine when I first heard it but that grew to be a major favourite so who knows. Really don’t like the bridge or whatever you call it though, garbage. Outro is great.

If you never left - just wow. I love this song even more this morning. Intro with mark is fantastic. Toms verse and pre chorus is just so well done. Got a real bop vibe. Can’t keep my shoulders from dancing listening to the verses. Chorus is so catchy and great. Bridge is fantastic. I hope this song becomes a single because I could see it going huge. I want this song to put its dick in me. Might be close to perfect for me.

One Night stand - just a really solid song. Don’t think it’ll be a favourite but it’s great. Verses are cool and the chorus is catchy.

take me in - like the song better hearing proper rip. Vocal choices aren’t my favourite but I really like the melody of this song. Works very well as a closer.

overall very happy with this release. Most don’t even feel like b-sides to me. Great enough on their own.

happy coight

Well on top of awesome music (still waiting on proper HQ songs from YouTube and Spotify, but enjoyed the terrible twitter rips)

It looks like we're actually going to have CDs as an option after all:

One Night Stand is strange and not typical. I'm diggin' the chorus A LOT. Sounds like a Neighborhoods song, but finished properly with them all toghether and not frankensteined via e-mail. I love it sounds modern in a good way but still blink.

Can't Go Back is everything I expected after hearing the live performances. It's haunting and atmospheric. I love it. The live version sounds even more ethereal.

Everyone Everywhere is weird in a good sense. They're hinting some different terrain here, IMO. Again, it sounds as a Neighborhoods songs, but finished with sense.

I'm having Dogs Eating Dogs EP vibes here with this new songs. Anyone else? Is not about the sound or production. Is more about the feel of it all. The most important thing is that they are sounding fresh and not forced at all. Good signal.

I think it's an interesting and pretty cool song so I don't mean to rain on any parades, but (and I actually mean this as some kind of compliment) it would be better as a Coldplay song or something. It's not as off the Blink map as IRWIHY, but the melodies/style of singing sound like a song written for a whole different band with a whole different set of skills haha

It’s disappointing to me because I love the rest of the song so much, but the bridge is so bad I’d be embarrassed to be a dj and put that song on in front of my friends.

Everyone Everywhere feels like a jam session that made it to a recording session. I'm not the biggest fan, but I like the final chorus where everything comes together.

Every Other Weekend feels like a straightforward pop-punk song. Not a bad thing!

Yeah I hear you, it feels "inbetween" albums/eras in the same was as DED, like they're dipping their toe into some things or stretching out some different muscles to see where they want to go next. Only this time we'll actually get to find out where they go next! (🤞)

One Night Stand is okay. Feels like I've heard this chorus before. Not very strong or catchy.

If You Never Left has nice verses. Again not too impressed by the chorus. This is one with additional songwriters so 🤷‍♂️

A lot of growers I'm sure.

We haven't had consecutive album releases from the main lineup since before the original breakup. They always fell apart after the EP/ small release bump. Super curious on what the next full album will be like.

After a second listen I can say for sure that I love the new songs - my first impression is that they all have a mellow, retro sound, but at the same time it's just feel good music. It's great when new blink songs get to be a small part of our day and uplift our mood.

Best song: If You Never Left

No Fun: The breaks in the guitars in the chorus did not fit the song imo. 4/10

All In My Head: I like the main riff. Grew towards the last chorus. 5/10

Can’t Go Back: Don’t go anywhere and does not have a catchy enough melody (like Far Too Young To Die by Panic At The Disco) for this type of song. 3/10

Every Other Weekend: Best chorus yet, nothing stands out though. 4/10

Everyone Everywhere: My least favorite so far, the chorus feels like a pre-chorus and kept me waiting for something coming after it. The last chorus was better with power beneath it and a different chord structure, which made it rise to a 3 instead of a 2. 3/10

If You Never Left: I like this one, the best one yet for me. 7/10

One Night Stand: Least favorite so far.1/10

Take Me In: My favourite. They end on a high note. Both Mark and Tom sound amazing in it. 10/10

In the end, Take Me In, If You Never Left, and maybe All In My Head will probably be the only ones that will make it into my playlist. All in all means three new songs for my playlist which is a win for me anyway so that means that I’m happy with this release.
