Honestly why does this trigger people so much?

As long as it has Mark Tom and Travis input and they're happy with it then that's good enough for me.

We're never going back to Blink in a house best part of a year writing an album together in this day and age, people should really temper expectations.

Today the copyright rules are extremely stricter than in the past, so it is sufficient for another person to be present in the same studio where the recording was being made (and we know that Travis's one is frequented by many people) to be credited. In the same way, however, the rules apply to whoever played that song, so if I read "blink-182" as performers I tend to think that they actually played the individual parts themselves.

And in any case we cannot underestimate the impact of technology in the studio: for example in the last 2 Iron Maiden albums you cannot hear the drum pieces actually played by Nicko McBrain, but his parts are a mix of real kit and pre-recorded samples. Iron Maiden fans are no longer upset by this fact: the band simply records all the new songs live but, since using the Paris studio, they place the drums in another room (otherwise they would cover the other instruments), and therefore Kevin Shirley (the producer) is unable to reproduce a uniform sound with that of the other recorded instruments. This is why he prefers to use a mix of original and digital drums.

You're not the only one... To me it sounds like the Pixies "Where Is My Mind" mixed with a song tied with Disney (I swear it's a famous Kingdom Hearts song, but I for the life of me can't find the song on YouTube and it's driving me crazy).

I’m a little surprised that so many seems to like it as well due to it sounding like a modern AVA song. Could be on lifeforms  imo.

Ah, well now that we have this person's wife's opinion, we should all just shut up and accept this as the only true way anyone should feel about this song...

What are we even doing at this point?  How have so many of us lost sight of what a goddamn opinion is?  No one should need validation one way or another about how they feel about any particual piece of art, it is and always will be subjective.

I feel like this just solidifies it. Non-biased opinion saying it’s trash.

Might need to go back and edit/delete those heavy defenses of the song.  Or you bump Disney+ soundtracks on the regular (sans Mulan, gets a free pass)
