M!ke
Still hasn't proven that Tom didn't record guitar, only that it has additional writers, which was never an argument being made here...

Buddy, you can lie to yourself all you want. One thing you and me both know, is that Happy Perez and Nick Long did not touch a thing on What Went Wrong. Glad my instincts were not wrong, again! Russel Coight
Literally says “performed by blink-182” in those screenshots lol. Just cause others helped write it doesn’t mean they recorded it.
blinkAVARacer
i just looked and there's 3 extra writers on Dance With Me, so i guess Tom didn't play any guitar on that song either

And again, regardless of IF he played guitar or not, how is this less of a blink song than What Went Wrong is? Clearly all 3 had bigger contributions to this song than they all did to What Went Wrong regardless of who is playing guitar on this one. Elite Takes - this is jan
It's not a coincidence that my two favorite tracks from the bonus release Everyone Everywhere, One Night Stand are only written by the three. What a validating experience right now!

NotNow
Someone mentioned Run Away today and I not only forgot that song existed, I couldn’t even remember what it sounded like. I went and looked at Nine and I forgot a third of the songs names and what they sounded like. And man listening to that album with where we are now, it’s bad. I think when it came out there was a lot of cope / blinders just to be happy to be getting blink music still. That’s really only thing in the entire blink universe discography I actually dislike. Even California I appreciate for what it is. 1

But this isn't the topic to dissect this, we should talk about this in an already established Nine thread; this is the One More Time Part 2 thread (technically OMT Deluxe, but come on, we're only really talking about the new songs here, and I suppose Cut Me Off and See You). Ghent
One Night Stand has no business being kind of a good song, but it is. I like it. It’s Tom with a filter. It’s an AVA song with input. Said it earlier, but it proves what a waste of time and talent the whole AVA experiment was. There was some good stuff here and there, but it was missing the checks and balances an actual band provides. I’m 100% confident if Tom released that song as a solo/AVA song it would be awful.
Kay
While I am not jumping into Jan’s confusion / weird argument about session guitarists / loops / samples, Take Me In does sound like hot garbage and doesn’t sound like something they would write. But Jan’s argument is kind of mental so I won’t hitch my wagon to it. It just sounds like ass to me apart from the chorus and I am shocked people are fellating it so much
thongrider
It definitely cheapens the song for me that they used writers and definitely if they used session guitarists. It bums me out that the songs written by someone else is better than those by blink themselves. I dunno if I trust the credits tho. Mark said there were co-writers(ghostwriters) on Emo Shit and it cheapened the song even more.
thongrider
Did Tom put in a Propagandhi reference in One Night Stand?
Russel Coight
10 minutes ago, Elisa said: It's co-writers time: the new songs written exclusively by Mark, Tom and Travis are No Fun, All In My Head, Everyone Everywhere and One Night Stand. Can’t even say for sure there’s no song writers on those either. As thongy pointed out on some emo shit just lists Mark, Matt and Travis but Mark said there definitely others involved.
Bucko
Honestly why does this trigger people so much? As long as it has Mark Tom and Travis input and they're happy with it then that's good enough for me. We're never going back to Blink in a house best part of a year writing an album together in this day and age, people should really temper expectations.

I deleted the post because I wrote it before going back to read all the back and forth about Take Me In and I saw that it was already pointed out, sorry
