Hi All - I created a Blink-182 Best Song game that is arena style where 2 songs are randomly displayed side by side and you pick your favorite. It’s rapid fire. There’s a snippet of each song that can play below the 2 options and it uses ELO ranking and has a full leaderboard.

Just released it so in the early stages but wanted some initial thoughts. https://blink-182.net

This is a pretty cool way to see the most liked songs. I scrolled down and it looks like voters swipe right for Dumpweed the most.

I don’t feel like clicking that link, but I’ll take this opportunity to announce I’ve decided to start a rival board by myself.
It’ll be just me and my bad ideas.

I was hoping they were at least a little bit active. It would have been nice to have a proper rival to fuck with again.

It started as a forums mainly because Invision Community gave me the ability to allow song reviews and ratings - but that didn’t take off. Then I decided I wanted to create this game instead - so yeah the forums are dead and not meant to be a competition.

 

i did just create the side projects version for AvA, Boxcar Racer, +44, and Simple Creatures at https://blink-182.net/side-projects

Asthenia vs Josie really fucked me up.

as did Man Overboard vs Dick Lips

 

I gotta say, this sort of reiterated to me how much I hated those Skiba era moments deeply like Quaratine/Christmas song, those funko pop graphics and everything. Remove it from existence.  I did however, find myself voting some California songs over OMT stuff, which was interesting.  Despite the 1995 feel of the site, these new graphics kind of helped make non-previous based picks.  Feeling this is so hard to beat.

good to see Here’s Your Letter reigning supreme, and interesting to see the worst overall song, minus the random feature tracks, was Really Wish I Hated You and what’s my age again a milli remix lol.

Oh and all the Steve Aoiki options made me hate my life.

If you scroll the the bottom with the leaderboard, that black box is a drop down to filter leaderboard by album. (I have to fix the text color there.) Was very surprised to see All of This at the bottom of untitled although#74 overall.

It’s claymation not funko pops. If only there was a way you could just listen to the song and not watch the video… if only….

Let’s not act like you only listen to tracks solely and don’t focus on any of the image of the band.  The whole thing was cringe, what they were going for that whole era was trying too hard to fit in with younger gens. This is simply, my opinion, and shared by others as well.

First off, a music video or the bands image doesn’t change my opinion of a song one single iota. Stop being dumb.

Secondly, Claymation Christmas movies are an entire genre itself. That’s what they’re recreating with the music video not whatever nonsense you’re babbling about. Stop being dumb.

Third and final, this is a screenshot from a music video from your favourite album. Talk about cringe.

Neighborhoods was fine. Never said it was cool. Wasn’t really supposed to be.

The stuff was cringe and I didn’t like it and you’re not going to convince me otherwise.  No need to create an analysis about it.
