FAWM 2026

Fawm is a songwriting challenge (and website) where you try to write and rough record 14 songs in the month of February.

I skipped last year due to having a 3 month old but I am going to try again this year.

I only get a bit of time in the evenings without the baby and I cant really access my usual equipment right now so its just simple acoustic with phone recordings but I am barely writing or playing lately so its a good shout

First song done today its… fine.

I heavily encourage everyone who writes to give this challenge a go!

Just now seeing this. Were you able to complete it? Writing and recording 14 songs in a month (the shortest month of the year mind you) seems extremely challenging lol. Especially with a new kiddo.

I got to like 8 songs… I was too tired and wasn’t enjoying it due to being so restricted with time and equipment and stuff. I did the full 14 the first year I tried though and fully intend to try it again somewhere down the line as it does push you to just not overthink it.
