Kay Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I couldn’t find a specific general thread for JEW just ones for certain releases and I feel like it’s time we had one. It’s the 25th anniversary of Bleed American and I never really realised how huge that record has been for me. With my recent hearing woes my relationship with music has been quite frustrating and off, I recently reminded myself of this record and I am baffled at why I’ve never swung from the rooftops saying it’s one of my fave records of all time. It’s raw but polished, it’s heavy and beautiful, it’s so well balanced and each track is stand out in it’s own way. Futures was always my favourite but damn, maybe it wasn’t and I just didn’t realise. Anyway, JEW chat ? 1 Quote
_Kyle_ Posted July 23 Posted July 23 BA is an all-timer, but Clarity is a top 10 record for me. Seen them twice and they put on a good show. I wondered if this was the idea song for blink's A New Hope in terms of writing about Star Wars. 1 Quote
thongrider Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Clarity is so awesome, but I can't really get into all their other stuff. Quote

Pretty sure Episode IV is the song they played at Toms wedding Clarity is a beautiful record and probably one of my faves of all time from a production standpoint. Quote
Elisa Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Yesterday I woke up with this song stuck in my head Quintessential band for me ♥️ The only album I don’t fuck with is Damage, I love all the rest of their discography 1 1 Quote
Coightstradamus Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I was a strictly bleed American guy for years and years and then I read their chapter in Sell Out and got way more invested. I love futures now quite a bit. $160 for their bleed American shows in December though. Bit steep. 1 Quote

Thibaut182 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 This is still my favorite song of the band, such a fun song to play on drums 1 2 Quote
Emil Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Listening to Static Prevails right now and the record has some absolute bangers, my favourites are probably Episode IV, Claire, Call It In The Air and Seventeen. Definately prefer Tom's songs on this record since Jim's mostly screaming. My favourite is either Clarity or Futures though, Bleed American is good but the other two are slightly stronger in my opinion. Chase This Light is mostly good but every record after that has had an awful lot of fillersongs. 1 Quote
