it seems to me like tom is doing absolutely nothing on that synth. i'd also like to point out it sounds like they are playing to a guitar track the whole time. maybe that's just me though, but i can hear it clearly @ the beginning of down.
Tom is doing nothing with the synth. He is making a few noises. That is all. He keeps looking at someone sort of saying "i dont know what i am doing". It seemed as though he was afraid to touch one of the keys in case it was a wrong note
. There seems to be backing tracks for every song. He even has a backing of the rhythm track for whats my age again. It seems strange to have it on the palm muted verses. -
what songs have acoustic backtracks?
There appears to be a pre-recorded acoustic guitar going throughout I Miss You, playing the main riff and during the chorus. The Whats My Age Again riff is definitely doubled up and you can clearly hear a rhythm guitar come in during the bridge of the Rock Show. The backing for Whats My Age Again is evident during the bar before the 1st chorus when tom strums an open chord and then pick scrapes. As he does this the riff continues in the background. They are using keyboard backing tracks also. You can hear that at the end of the Rock Show. It is quite low in the mix.

They have a load of backing tracks going now. Acoustic guitars, keyboards and even the Whats My Age Again guitar riff is doubled up.

I really enjoyed the gig. Was right at the front. Was a bit too intense though. Moved to the back after All the Small Things. People fainting all over the place. Got the best of both worlds cause i got to see what it was like form the back and see how it sounded. I got a Mark Hoppus plectrum. Was lovin it. Anyone got any good photos from it?
