haha no i didn't mean anything by it, i just mean like a mixed crowd. I personally would be disappointed to go to a concert and see nothing but dudes but I mean the band is killing it so who cares.

their split with maker and 'while you were sleeping' were better imo. the full length now sounds a bit more 'produced', i wouldnt say overproduced cause they are still a small band but yeh, i dont like the sound of it as much - the drums etc are less clear and vocals are less raw. they are a fucking class band though. wish theyd play my house parties!

I love the song choice...but that is really a room full of dudes, is that what pop punk has become? Dude city? I'm way out of the scene these days.

According to someone here, Mark said on Google hangout yesterday that the standard album is 11 tracks long, but Best Buy will get a bonus track, overseas gets a different bonus track, and there is a different bonus track for being bought off of iTunes.
I'll buy it Best Buy as I live in America, so my copy will have 12 songs. Of course I'll also burn a disc with all 14 tracks.
14 really isn't bad at all for a total, thats more than Enema, and the same total for self titled (if you count Not Now but not count The Fallen Interlude). Also we don't know how long each track is, the standard 11 tracks could just as easily add up to about 50 minutes.
Regardless, 14 new tracks is nothing to complain about.
I'm happy with 14, the only thing I was curious about is if there are more songs out there. Ones that weren't "good enough" or aren't finished, or they just don't feel like using. I don't care if I hear them, just curious if they exist. I know they have mentioned numbers numerous times so Im curious if anyone has any info. But that's just because it's been 8 years so I'm feeling greedy. I'm sure Friday at 7:30 am ill get over it.

Wasn't that the original number we heard? What was the most songs they were kicking around at one point? Was it 16?

What I find interesting is Mark says at about 2:23:
"We have 14 songs almost done ready for mix, and I think we have 5 or 6 more that we wanna try and get written and recorded during these last 6 weeks" (interview is from June 10th).
So what exactly do you think we're looking at song number wise? I know two or three months ago Mark said they were looking at a 10 to 12 song album, but now it sounds like they're definitely getting 14 songs mixed, and want to get up to 6 more songs recorded. Thats 20 songs
Obviously, its to be expected that a few songs just don't make the cut, and maybe there will be a couple of bonus tracks. But even so, it sounds like we're looking at larger album than we had been believing for a while there.

How could they shoot a music video without even knowing what song it was for. They only picked the single two days ago and this was shot over a week ago.

I look at it this way. These are the last few days of pure mystery. The "what's inside the box." Its only a matter of time before we stop imagining what a new blink song sounds like, or starts up as...and start discussing what we've heard.

I really hope there's at least an 11 there under that hat. Tough to see if it ended at 10.
I don't wanna sound negative but it looks like we would at least be able to see the top of another number. we know more then those exist those because they mentioned them so maybe that's just ten of the songs tracked.

In regards to the Alphabet thing. Now that we know it's true, are they claiming Greatest hit's is I and if so where is it? Because they said this new one is J and self-titled was claimed to be H.

In other words it's going to take even longer now....
the download? what download? that's the first mention of a download option i've seen............this thing has to come out by the time they go out on tour or like someone else said, as a companion piece to the album.

Maybe that means that a discussion we had long ago will be true: you'll be able to download a concert's audio recording of choice with the purchase of the Blinkumentary. This would make a lot of sense as they pro recorded EVERY concert on both the US and Europe tours.
This isn't that uncommon of a practice actually. Bands like Dave Matthews Band do this for that very reason. Pearl Jam and Phish are even better at it, but I share your excitement and hope it's true. I was at Hershey and it was awesome.
