I'd get drunk because who wants to stand in front of 80,000 people sober? That's just silly.
Especially when you're a mid 30's man with kids singing about first dates and weeners. lol

His voice has just changed...That is all. Even his talking voice is a lot less nasally that it used to be.

Mark drinks before every show too. He's admitted in the past that prior to the breakup the three of them were always drunk on stage.

Going to a workplace and playing rock shows are two entirely different things.
Live shows are built around fun. Drinking helps people have more fun. The workplace is not a place for fun.
Using your logic, it would be disrespectful for people in the audience to drink as well.

Because it's fucking pathetic that a grown man has to drink every time he's about to get on stage.
Blink isn't the only band that drinks before/while they play. A LOT of other bands do it..Hell just go watch Sum-41 warped tour updates.
It's not uncommon for bands to drink and play, that's why i don't see it as such a huge deal.
So what? I don't care what other bands do because I don't listen to them and Tom certainly doesn't drink just because others drink too. He drinks because he has problems and those problems are not gonna go away by drinking.
Couldn't disagree with you more on this. Just because you drink doesn't mean you have problems. His main reason for drinking is probably because he's nervous, he has even said that. Another big reason is it probably makes the shows a hell of a lot more fun.
It's always more fun to play music, listen to music, sing, dance, or whatever when drunk.

Yeah, that was nothing out of the ordinary. He's fucked off First Date a lot worse than that.
Said it before, but I can't wait until that song is dropped off the set. It's the only blink song I don't like these days.

I don't give two shits that Tom drinks. At least he's not mailing in sets, no showing, or anything detrimental to the band like that.

It's a lot easier to notice missed notes and weird things when sitting at a computer watching raw vids than during the excitement of the show.
The thing is, Tom has ALWAYS been a bad live singer. Even back in the day he was fucking up. The only difference is now his voice is lower so he actually has technical problems with the old songs.
And Mark's not a very good live singer either. He doesn't mess up, but his voice comes off flat and non energetic on videos IMO.
It's what makes blink, blink. I don't even care. As long as Tom tries I'm down with it.

Definitely looks like this was their best show since the reunion. Even First Date was pretty good.

In the videos that were posted Tom looks to be trying as hard as he possibly can. Both singing and guitar. He also looks to be having a lot of fun.
Quit bitching. He's a bad live singer and an average lead guitarist. He always has been.

The sound was phenomenal and the atmosphere was even better! My only critism is that i actually felt nervous that Mark and Tom were going to fall out on stage. Tom was clearly very very drunk, slurring, messing up guitar parts, and in certain songs, such as josie he just refused to play the guitar in them. Mark actually said 'Tom are you going to play this one?!' half way through the song! I do feel for Mark and Travis as they do seem like real professionals who work hard at what they are doing, while Tom turns up and is drunk, plays what he wants and sings what he wants. I still enjoyed the show, i just am not sure what the future holds as I do think Tom's passion is AVA not Blink.
That was tom's best work in a long while. I haven't seen the vid for josie, so i cant comment on that.

Same here bro, loved that segment Tom threw in ATST even though I don't care for astrology. This restores much of my faith as they look like they were the same old Blink we fell in love with.
Except now they truly are ready to be one of the biggest bands in the world.
