I totally agree with ya. Also, if we look at the members of the band, they are all very interested in making large amounts of profits (who isn't?!). But Tom DeLonge is into real-estate and buying and re-selling houses for profits, and I'm pretty sure hes only doing it for the money and not the joy of selling houses. This also explains why he hypes AvA so much, he wants to see the success Blink had in AvA to make that much more money. So even if its just about money and greed, I can see why Tom would want to get back with Blink. I agree in a sense. But you also have to remember that Tom needs money to do the things he does in AVA. And lots of it. The band itself could never fund the types of things he pursues and pays for. So I guess I'm trying to say that I wouldn't call it greed.

I've always said a reunion was bound to happen, but I don't think there's any chance that it was already planned or that they had already spoken or whatever. It would be interesting if it was. I'm sure it was in the back of their minds as an inevitability though. It was for me.

yeah, I thought so, but I don't think Blink would sell out in the way Green Day did, in fact I don't think they'd sell out at all, no matter how well another album would sell, its not like they'd put on black eyeliner and a tie, they would just be who they've always been I don't think they'd have to sell out to reach those heights at this point in the music scene. I want another TOYPAJ. That album and Enema define blink to most people.

A bankrupt Tom won't stop blink from reuniting, on the contrary. I think Tom has used any capital (not financial necessarily) he had left to turn AvA popular, which didn't happen. Yeah, I'm actually hoping that he's pretty much exhausted all of his financial interest/gain in AVA by now. I mean fuck, he had to have lost a ton of money. If not him, then somebody. And with Tom's ego, I don't think it will take him long to figure out that he could still get to the top with blink. And that's what he wants. GOD IT'S THE PERFECT TIME. The current music scene needs a blink comeback soooo bad right now.

It is completely reasonable to expect blink to at least have a reunion tour now. There's almost no way it WON'T happen, IMHO. I am so excited just to hear that they talked again. This is my biggest concern regarding a reunion. You're right. Tom's so balls deep in AVA that it's going to be hard to get out. That's why I think a reunion tour is way more realistic at this point than anything else. I haven't kept up with AVA, but aren't they already writing another record?
