  1. If those kids could read, they’d be very upset.
  2. Easy to say that now though. If you were born into fandom (family/geography) or followed the team under a previous, different owner, you’re already attached and the owner’s role is usually pretty minimal.
  3. Can’t we all just agree that the actions of an owner mean nothing as a reflection on the fanbase?
  4. Why do we care what the owners of a team do? The owner of my favourite team is a known piece of shit. Still love the team despite giving this shitty guy money, it is what it is
  5. Our ancestors are largely irrelevant in applying morality to us because societal norms and expectations change. Most of us are going to be labelled shitty in a hundred years because we use gas vehicles and single use plastic and contributed to fucking the planet for future generations. Times change, y’all gotta chill
  6. Lol I read the Dune books before you jumped on the band wagon. They’re not bad, but I think it peaked in the first one. You got clowned because you are a clown.
  7. Arguably the best sci fi book ever written, shares some similarities with Game of Thrones in terms of politics and royal families going to war with each other. The book series decreased in quality with each release and the son of the original author began milking it though.
  8. It is poetic that the band that knocks Blink off was another pop-punk powerhouse from the early 2000s.
  9. Dude is a chubby neck beard who got his dad to write a letter to his ex girlfriend’s parents when she dumped him. Who does that?
  10. Between this and Netflix’s Three Body Problem, this is going to be a great year for sci fi adaptations. Hyperion and the Forever War need to be adapted next
  11. They might be still doing that as a different studio did the remaster coming out soon. DICE’s quality of games has dropped a lot over recent years with the shit show that was Battlefield 2042. Curious to see if they do another Battlefront or Battlefield game next. They honestly should just remake some of the classic Battlefield games like 1942, Bad Company 2, etc.
  12. It’s coming to every platform including PC on March 14.
  13. Damn it’s almost $50 Canadian for PS5. What a joke
  14. Pumped for the OG Star Wars Battlefront remaster coming out in mid March! I hope they don’t milk people on the price tag though, anything over $30 would be stupid.
  15. Yup, Mark even attended the puck drop and had a cringe sing along when the 2022-2023 season began. That Detroit-Colorado rivalry is one of my favourites of all time. Both teams absolutely stacked before the salary cap was introduced.
  16. Colorado Avalanche just played More Than You Know during the game tonight
  17. I got into Odi during the AvA era, great stuff. Although I prefer this
  18. Fell in Love has a good chorus in terms of melody and delivery, great guitar tones in the verses (which are rare on this album, imo), and a fairly unique drum beat. Agreed on the cringe lyrics. Still a 7.5/10 song for me just based on how it sounds.
  19. I used to burn CDs and one of my favourites was downloading the annual Warped Tour cds off Limewire (they would include one song from each artists on the tour that year). I believe Empire Strikes First was on one of them and it got me to download the rest of the album. I think the first Bad Religion song I heard was Infected, though.
  20. Basically all the albums from my youth, -Bouncing Souls - HISMSV, Anchors Aweigh, Gold Album -Millencolin - Pennybridge Pioneers and Home Away from Home -Taking Back Sunday - TAYF and WYWTB -Motion City Soundtrack - IATM and CTTM -Sum 41 - AKNF and DTLI? -Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue -Dashboard Confessional -Bad Religion - ESF -Zebrahead - BTTW etc
  21. Been listening to Buddha, Cheshire Cat, and Dude Ranch lately and one thing that strikes me as unique to this era is their use of vocal harmonies. Mark often provides harmonies on a lot of the songs. They sound like what the Beach Boys would sound like as a skate punk band with low production. I’d love to hear current Blink use harmonies more in their new stuff, it works so well for them.
