Since OpenAI opened up their API last week I decided to make my own chat bot  and have some fun. Let’s see how accurately AI can interpret blink lyrics.

Prompt: Explain the song “edging”

Answer: The song seems to be talking about a person who is self-destructive, cynical and nihilistic. The lyrics say that the person does not care about being cool or following the crowd; instead, they embrace their flaws and imperfections, knowing that they would eventually be rejected by wayward people. Moreover, the person talks about leaving people broken-hearted and causing a mess, which could suggest that they enjoy causing chaos and destruction. The lyrics also allude that the person does not want to be saved by anyone and does not belong in society, meaning that they feel out of place or rejected by everyone around them. The lyrics depict that they are not afraid to face the consequences of their actions, even if that takes them to a "special place in hell." Overall, the song conveys a sense of angst, rebellion, and nihilism of a person who has given up on hope and strives to destroy everything around them.I

Prompt: Explain these lyrics “She's a dove, she's a fuckin' nightmare

Unpredictable, it's my mistake to stay here

On the go, and it's way too late to play

I need a girl that I can train

Answer: These lyrics describe a troubled romantic relationship. The speaker refers to the female in the relationship as both a "dove" and a "fucking nightmare," suggesting that she is both gentle and beautiful but also unpredictable and difficult.

The line "It's my mistake to stay here" suggests that the speaker is aware that staying in this relationship is not healthy for him, but he may feel trapped or unsure how to end it.

The line "On the go, and it's way too late to play" implies that the female is not willing to settle down or commit to a stable relationship. The speaker may feel like he is wasting his time trying to keep up with her unpredictable lifestyle.

Lastly, the line "I need a girl that I can train" implies that the speaker is looking for someone he can control or manipulate, rather than someone who has their own unique personality and desires.

Overall, these lyrics express the speaker's frustration with a relationship that is unpredictable, unstable, and one-sided. The speaker is seeking someone who is more controllable and easier to handle, rather than embracing the unique qualities of a romantic partner.

Prompt: Explain the lyrics “I wanna fuck a dog in ass”

Answer: The singer wants to fuck a dog in the ass

"Fuck a Dog" is a controversial song by the American rock band Blink 182. It was released in 1999 as a bonus track on their album "Enema of the State". The song features explicit and graphic lyrics about bestiality, which has sparked outrage and controversy among many listeners.

In the song, the lyrics describe the singer's desire to engage in sexual acts with a dog, as well as attempting to do the same with other people and objects. The lyrics also contain references to incest and piracy, adding to the overall shock value of the song.

While some people may find the song humorous or satirical, it is generally considered offensive and inappropriate due to its graphic nature and sexual content involving animals. The song has been criticized for promoting animal cruelty and perpetuating harmful stereotypes.

No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get it to say anything else haha. Also it got the album wrong.

Explain Untitled by Blink 182

Answer:

The first verse talks about how the speaker and his partner may have had a chance at having a successful relationship, but the speaker was too foolish and the partner needed time to grow as a person.

The second verse starts with the phrase "But now just as things change, as well my feelings do," which suggests that the speaker's feelings for the former partner have evolved and he is no longer as invested in the relationship. The speaker has become frustrated with the games he has been playing waiting for his partner's call and the continuous chase, leading him to give up and move on.

The chorus describes the regret that the speaker feels for wasting time in this relationship, and the desire to move on. He emphasizes that he is committed to finding someone else and making it work this time.
