  1. I had to login for this thread again: my choice is "home is such a lonely Blabla". It's such a predictable try-hard for a third calm-ballade single. If I hear this stupid boring guitar picking with this terrible cow bell effect upon it, it just does not sound like blink at all. And the chorus: after you hear the first line you just predict the second voice to sing "without you" like in some boy band. funny thing though: this song that is so desperately trying to be a radio hit, is to cheesy to actually get any airplay.
  2. To find out what it's about, maybe we should ask Feldmann?
  3. Would be funny if he took the guitar tabs and arrangement from that Odi acoustic guy. Covering a cover. AVAception
  4. The funny thing is, it didn't even make sense to promote LOVE. Those were shows visited by people who paid 50-100 bucks ( I don't remember) to see Blink-182 on their reunion tour. No way there were a lot of people who never heard about LOVE or Angels & Airwaves. And if there were, those people would never made the effort to google the word "LOVE and Tom Delonge" just cause Tom wears a shirt with "Love" on it.
  5. It has been said before, but Mark seems to dislike changes. My theory about that: He seems to be pretty insecure about his musical skills and general decision making (what do the fans think about that?) I understand that. Blink becoming that famous was a combination of their hard work in the early days and them being at the right place at the right time in 1999 where you could still earn a lot of money with album sales. Most of the pop-punk bands that were kind of large in the early 2000 now tour really small concert venues if they tour at all ( f.e. Taking Back Sunday )and probably don't live in Los Angeles mansions with infinity pools like Mark and Travis do. On the other hand Mark is technically a really average bass player and most certainly an under-average singer. Therefore he might question himself why he became that famous and thats why he tries to stick to what worked out fine for him (greatest hits setlist, being the down-to-earth-guy on twitter, not too much experiments on the new album, playing it safe in general). I wish he would loosen up a bit and settle peace with his "random" success in comparison to other bands. He is capable of writing good songs (see +44 album) and early day blink and doesn't need Feldmann who seems to act like he is the fourth (I got a call shortly after this post from Tom, to tell me he never quit, so Feldmann would be the fifth) member of Blink. He just shouldn't force himself to sound a certain way. Open up man.
  6. How exactly can you support this approach? I mean, it's an honest statement and it might be like a lot of albums are written. But you can really hear how these songs are written by patterns.
  7. Feldmann was quite honest about writing the album. I appreciate that. Though I really can't stand his approach to writing the album. "This is actually the only song that started with music first, the others started with a concept or a hook" ( like: we absolutely knew we need a ballad, guys we need a TOYPAJ song, and where is this dude ranch song I ordered? ) Being in a band myself, in my opinion this is absolutely not how you should write music. And then these subtle under estimations of blink fans: the kids don't understand "bauhaus" . Like which kids? People grow up. The only one running around with a mohawk and shorts is Mark. Hopefully Skiba can show his skills on the next album. I really liked what he brought to the table, though by reading the song descriptions it supports the theory that this is a Feldmann/Hoppus-album not a Hoppus/Skiba album
  8. For the record: Worst song for me is Kings.. Like how not authentic are those lyrics ? I picture Mark sitting at his poohuhuhul not even knowing which week day it is and thinking about topics for his lyrics that may speak to us regular people.
  9. Yeah thats like such a smart idea lulz. Sounds like one of Marks way too hard- trying twitter "jokes" spread over one song.
  10. Let's not forget the "citation" of Anthem Part 2. So let's put it together: drums: Close to me. Guitar in the verses/intro: Anthem Part II and the chorus: Dry your eyes. (it's the other way round, but still recycled).
  11. Sure, as he already copied his own songs, he needed new material. But I also like some of the demos. The production (or its lack of) sounds more natural, not as "compressed" like the album.
  12. Yeah I am fine, I asked for a friend of mine.
  13. She's like one of those hot girls on those porn sites ads, that want to chat with you.
  14. Hey, don't put a critical observer like me in the same corner as an obscene ( a no-go criteria on a blink-182 !! forum) fake account. I am an artist. I don't have any problems with her, just wanted to point something out. It's not like her comments about Tom were too subtle . If you dish it out..
