  1. Yes! I remember travisbarker.com and punkdisasters. Good times! I just cringe when I think of myself back then and how much better I am today
  2. Every few years I come back to this website because I get so fucking hyped with new blink, and I’m reminded of how far we have all come. I was a child when I first browsed this forum back during the untitled recording sessions, too stupid to make an account and then made one and blink broke up, I thought my life was over. In the interim (I’m embarrassed to say) I pretty much worshipped the big names on this place like Oliver and Ghent. Since then I clearly grew and matured a bit and have had a successful career, got married, had kids, bought a house. Life moves fast but the blink passion and community will always be a constant in my life. I hope you all have as much fortune and happiness and that we all are jamming to some new blink soon!
  3. I'm wondering if Mark and Travis are hoping that this causes Tom to wake up and realize that blink should be his passion. Sometimes it takes almost losing something to really discover how much it means to you. So, if this is Tom's wake-up call and he promises that there will no longer be any nonsense, maybe they can work it out. No wiggle room though
  4. I'm not justifying the anger, just saying that I don't think people truly mean that they want Tom to end up miserable. And I'm an adult too, it doesn't make me any less of an adult to say that I'll be sad if blink is done for good. Why can't I be sad?
  5. People are letting their emotions get the better of them. This is a band that we've been following for a huge chunk of our lives, we're all upset. When the dust settles, no matter what the state of blink-182, I'm sure all the anger will dissipate. I for one hope that blink continues. They are a huge part of me, they got me through tough times in middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. And no matter what happens after today, I will continue listen to their music and embrace their legacy
  6. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO6L6ebWQBA Stumbled across this yesterday. This is maybe the best blink cover I've come across, aside from all the Odi stuff
  7. If they leave their record label, does that mean that they could start playing other songs at their shows instead of basically only doing the singles? I'm not even sure if it works like that, but does the label pressure them to play certain songs live?
  8. So just to explain to you guys what exactly the condition is, the cells that line the esophagus are of a type called stratified squamous, while the cells that line the stomach are columnar. At the junction of the esophagus and the stomach, there's a transition from one type to the other. At any type of junction like that, there is an increased risk that those cells will develop into cancerous cells (another example is in the cervix). In Barrett's esophagus, there's a metaplasia of the cells lining the esophagus, meaning that they change from the stratified squamous to columnar. One of the reasons for this is reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus due to an incompetent lower esophageal sphincter. There are a ton of things that can aggravate this condition, but for Travis to say that smoking weed caused it is a little odd but it can't hurt for him to stop. If anything, if he was taking sedatives (like Xanax) all the time to combat anxiety, that may have contributed, so it's good he stopped that too. I feel for Travis, that sucks that he has Barrett's esophagus. On the bright side, though, I think it's pretty rare for it to become cancerous. He's a fighter though, dude survived a plane crash. Remember when he played through the tour with a broken foot and still rocked the drums? So if Travis says he can't make it to Australia, I stand by him.
  9. Yeah, that video was really cool, and his comment at the end was awesome. He kinda talked about it in the video, but if he's looking for a way to pick himself up before a show, alcohol really isn't the way to go. Alcohol is a sedative, it acts on the same receptors that medicines like Valium work on (it's a GABA agonist for all of my science brothers). Its stimulant-like effects are really transient, so it's kinda stupid that he drinks to not feel so tired. That's starting to sound like alcoholism
  10. Just because it isn't life-threatening doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken care of. Once their tour starts, the next chance he'd have to get them out wouldn't be for a while. If the palatine tonsils get inflamed it can get really uncomfortable, would you want to wait a month or so and deal with recurrent inflammation of your tonsils? Do you know how annoying that would be?
  11. I agree, 5 is the best. It's a little too experimental for me. In my opinion the style of the video below is way better, I love piano covers like this
  12. Lol I gotta say this just because I took anatomy. It's the perineum!
  13. I thought the exact same thing. Reminds me of Anxiety, they both have a similar format and sound. Just the way he says "Dementia, you're driving me crazy" reminds me of "Don't pressure us, anxiety" Also, I like that palm mute sound. Really blink-ish. One of my favorite things about blink's sound is the palm-mute and bass together, like in Story of a Lonely Guy
