  1. I love the use of the word underrated here. Perfectly said. It's just the grating production for me on the chorus makes it hard to listen to, everything is so loud. The song itself is super cool, Mark's voice sounds super cool here, almost get a Damon Albarn vibe, which Mark sounds good at. It is a song you never could picture them making in 1,000 years gives it an extra boost to me. the outro will always stick with me, I remember where I was listening to it on repeat the first few times. Looking up at the sun, it fit perfectly. Childhood on Pt. 2 level production would be super satisfying.
  2. These songs are the closest to the continuation of DED we could have gotten? But with more modern/processed production.
  3. 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, we will never let them divide us" is the best line from the "Part 2" though. The production being better makes such a big difference, it's a lot easier to listen to on repeat. OMT is a gem, but I think this bodes better moving forward. I could do songs like this till the end and be pretty damn enthused.
  4. The You Don't Know What You've Got complaints are weird. It's so intentionally repetitive to drive the point accross, the name of the song is literally that. The fluctuations in the phrase are what make it. I don't believe it's this lazy chorus at all, it's an artistic choice and a good one. a break from the formula Plus it sounds very personal from both of them, Mark's lyrics obviously, and Tom belting his feelings that came from Mark's cancer scare
  5. Why the fuck is All In My Head such a grower. I hated this song first release, it fits nicely with the others now. Intro kind of annoys me still (zzommgg guitar explosion) but the rest of the song is fucking solid. The verses ride like an older blink song. "I gotta sickening feeling! We do this night after night but now I start to doubt it" is such a good delivery by Mark.
  6. I love Bad News, but I can easily see why it gets left off. It was a fun moment to hear Mark go in like that, but if feels more like a homage if that makes sense. Bad News is sick though.
  7. Back in the day Enema and Toypaj were considered semi-poppy but if you listen to any of it today, even the poppier hits, they fucking rip. Was just jamming Give Me One Good Reason and it goes pretty hard. Finn was a master. Also you forgot us Neighborhood fans, who like to think introspectively, not follow the herd like sheep, and are overall just more alpha and have lots of sex.
  8. The Olés were specifically made for frat boys.
  9. Easy to photoshop that or Aaron’s sock, I’ll take it from the man’s mouth directly from the pod.
  10. Is that two days in a row now slaying the board a new one? Ouchies. I’m doing this all night long (‘Olé)
  11. You wouldn’t know any different if that were the case and would love it jus the same…(if not more)
  12. It was literally stated specifically on the Aaron Rubin podcast with I wanna say the guy from our board ya dingbat?
  13. Wrong. Aaron Rubin answered this in an interview, the Olés were originally only at the end. Nice just completely and confidently making that up though?
  14. The Olés are there off the bat because Rufus Toofus or whatever songwriter in the room wanted to use blink to try and create a new radio jam instead of letting Tom eloquently craft the song as he originally intended (Olés at the end, end as the real chorus)
  15. They are the right length, minus the extensive intros of No Fun, AIMH back to back, and of course Take Me In every minute is too long.
  16. They were absolutely right he first time to put the Oles in at the end as a finale/surprise. Having it be the base chorus as a chant just kills it. If you’re talking about YDKWYG I’d agree. It’s very intentionally repeating the chorus and not lazy or however ppl are taking it. Love that song.
  17. I love the verses, bridge, final chorus and it stops there. The rest is too busy. Definitely get why people like it, but I can’t get through it after first few listens. SORRY!
  18. Dance With Me is definitely a big wtf. FTG and EE are top tier
  19. Even if you don’t love it I don’t get this. Slamming guitars, good production finally, less cheesy lyrics than half OMT, Tom sounds prime, etc. Each day I wake up and think this might be the best song they’ve done since Neighborhoods/DED for me. At least one of them.
  20. Yea I love Childhood and what they went for there, especially the ending is superb. I just cannot listen to it because the chorus feels super loud and skipping or whatever like a giant explosion not in a good way. But the song itself is sweet. Love the trade offs too, just wish the chorus was fixed (and those autotune dips)
  21. @Ghent lost between all the beta dudes whining, but I agree One Night Stand is a good example, why AvA went on way too longer than it needed to, as the songs are better with Travis & Mark backing Tom. You could easily put this song on Lifeforms or w.e and it'd be about a 6/10 but with the blink flavor attached to it it's about a 9/10 for me. However, wasn't Mark not willing to make music like this for a while and part of why Tom bolted?
  22. Pretty tough to do the full album because you'll have to cut a few songs or so you like, to make it 12-14 songs. 14 is a long album imo. Let's make it even tougher? One More Time the EP (6 songs max) I'm choosing the best six imo and not caring about flow: 1. Turpentine 2. Anthem 3 3. Can't Go Back 4. Everyone Everywhere 5. One Night Stand 6. Terrified
  23. Agreed this is still the best song.
