One More Time… Official Discussion (Constant Tug and Nut)
Locean Breeze - Jan replied to Kay's topic in Blink 182
Honestly, that just solidifies this as California pt. 2 with Tom & a few gems, luckily. I don’t need some guy named Greg writing my blink songs. I don’t need Travis’ egomaniac writing them either. I need Mark & Tom. That’s what I signed up for. And yes they owe me as a longtime fan. That said, it’s still good music and good to hear Tom & Mark on songs to any capacity. They can almost do no wrong because their dynamic is that good. This also solidifies Neighborhoods as better. Tom & Mark definitely wrote that bullshit. -
Travis is notorious for this now. He’s sort of the LeBron James of music now and wants all the glory. also Diddy don’t post the same thing in two threads got damn.

One More Time… Official Discussion (Constant Tug and Nut)

I missed that part. Not shocking. It’s generic and boring song. Almost like our intuitions are right about Mark/Tom not sitting down and writing like they used to and that disconnect holding back the enjoyment slightly? Genuinely, I think Tom has just moved on to other things, same with Mark, as far as passion for making music goes. Not in a terrible way, but they’re focused on their families over writing ‘best song ever’ ever again. Like their 2000s stretch. The Adventure/WDNTW was really Tom’s “I’m so sick of this I’m writing one more album then done with this” in his heart at least. Then it became more just his job/obligation. Kinda takes the song down a notch, no? Not the worst idea. Also, leave it to boomer diddy to post a point in an 18 minute video without a timestamp. -

This is hands down the most depressing studio I’ve ever seen. What a horrible concept/reason to have white walls. Cool snares though. edit: really liked the interview, thanks Diddy -

Dave’s more interested in this kind of book: -
Shut up pussy.

That’s not what your mom said when I had her over and we had a nice bond in the kitchen got to know eachother better for a bit then I took her upstairs and we chatted a bit longer and things escalated expeditiously

It’s definitely a competition..

ILWY isn’t a throwaway either, there are none. But it is the one song I’ll pass on if giving it a full spin. Enema is a classic but I’d say ST reaches higher highs. Enema is just consistent through and through (like DR, without Travis. Which also was written heavily before Travis.. just fyi) Scene kid out

Anyone who thinks this should log off>delete account>delete internet access>place laptop in trash or let dog pee on it

You guys missed out. We had some good times without ya I guess. Also Davey Jones is a terrible example. He never left the club show phase of blink.
-
If you never had an emo/scene phase I'm not sure we can consider you a real blink fan or millennial.
-
Gen Z is exactly who Cali - Nine appealed to and why the Cali bots get the clouded idea that any old time fans actually really liked this era outside the Kansas bots.
-
Dude Ranch is consistently and always my 1st or 2nd favorite album. Try again. edit: go pull up my rankings if you don't believe me.

Bro aS a BoY In WiScOnSin, Dammit AND Josie were both yuge here, sorry we weren't clouded by fucktards like Eminem and listened to both those songs constantly on radio. I want to say they both were two of the earliest videos on Youtube as well.

It's not a diss 🤨 Some of us don't care about fame an notoriety for our bois. Aka me and SPEEDO ❤️❤️❤️

I think Tom & Mark are fully capable duo without Travis and would galvanize a new writing & musical spurt they haven't had in a long time and take them back to their roots of just them on DR. I'm allowed to have this opinion..which is: Travis was essential and perfect, awesome, jaw-dropping drumming from Enema - Untitled. Neighborhoods/DED he was awesome and carried too but also just sort of a weird time for the excessive drumming. Blink isn't blink without Travis in those prime years, no question. Those years are over. Trash on Cali-Deluxe-Nine-OMT. I've heard enough already. The problem is he doesn't even do the signature beats from like, Enema, he does this new style he's been doing since Cali on every single album he's featured on. He's essentially a session drummer for a decade now and it's holding the band back writing wise imo. Honestly it just feels lazy now, he just comes in and barfs up some over-drumming, but without Finn or a producer to restrain his sound (Feldmann doesn't count, since that was his BFF at the time). Listen to Enema then a OMT or Cali song back to back...the drums being at the complete forefront vs the backdrop or where they're supposed to be before is super glaring. Anthem 3 got me excited, during the shitty quality rip/leak he was returning to form, but then when the official audio dropped it was like being on a shipwreck out at sea cannons going off every second. Shit sounds horrible. Time for a change. Plus OMT was just this call back album to their heydey. It's time for a change.

Reverse uno card fully executed. ^Travis doesn't matter to the band outside these guys:
-
Mxpx is exactly how I’d expect blink to be if Travis never joined.
-
Travis was great/perfect on ST. That was 20 years ago. Time & place my friend. It’s time to bring it back to just Tom & Mark and write some genuine stuff DR style again and a drummer that doesn’t run the show. Trust me on this.

Also crazy Nirvana reunited a night later.

This comment is moronic for various many reasons.
-
Dude Ranch is most certainly blink, and Travis was basically a session drummer for Enema (his words, not mine) and plenty was written before he got there so. Try again.
-
No, but that would be kinda awkward no offense. Otherwise I'd be game. Sorry, Jan's rules.
