Fun, Catchy Pop-Punk Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 I'm just looking to get into drumming and found the following postings on Craigslist. I've converted the CAD for USD for easier reference and included the postings. Any feedback is greatly appreciated Yamaha DTX400k Electronic Drum Kit for $225 https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml/msg/d/port-coquitlam-central-yamaha-dtx400k/7321814531.html Yamaha DTXPRESS II Drum Kit for $250 https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van/msg/d/vancouver-dtxpress-ii-yamaha-drum-kit/7317092120.html Yamaha DTXplorer Electronic Drums for $315 https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml/msg/d/coquitlam-yamaha-dtxplorer-electronic/7319063784.html Quote
twentytwenty Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 This is hard, I'd be bored within a couple of days playing on an electronic drum kit like these. I get that it's hard finding space and stuff for a real kit, but if it's manageable I would recommend that over this. --------- To your question: I don't think that there's much difference between these tbh. I would probably go for the cheapest one, but that's just me 1 Quote

I'm just curious if these are decent deals or not. Quote

I'm lucky to have somewhere to have my kit at. I would say go for the cheapest one you can find. The samples doesn't matter since you can get a drum vsti to play feed your electronic kit through Quote
Fun, Catchy Pop-Punk Posted July 11, 2021 Author Posted July 11, 2021 After some more research I determined that the Alesis Nitro mesh kit would probably be the best value and kit to start on. Found a guy on Craigslist selling one for $250 so I'll probably try to get it for $200 which is like 1/3 the price new. Quote

Do you do any recording with it or you just playing your favorite music? I use mine as a musical treadmill that can also play fun things 1 Quote
